So much more than Dyker Heights with Alan as a guide!

This was so much more than a visit to Dyker Heights because of our guide, Alan, whose knowledge of New York was extensive and so freely shared as we passed sights on route. Even our crazy driver Luis added some entertainment although his customer care skills weren’t quite on point. This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience that shouldn’t be missed in NYC at Christmas!

Loved this tour so glad we did it! Our guide was Daniel and he was great so funny and charismatic so glad we got him as our guide. I will say we were extra happy with this tour they graciously waited about 15 minutes for us we got stuck in traffic and had to run to get there! Don’t take Ubers or lifts waste of time and money! So we really appreciated that. The ride there is smooth and a nice break from walking they also drive by many scenic spots. Once you arrive Daniel would walk along the way pointing out the highlights along the way and he also provides free time to roam around the neighborhood and see what you like. Definitely worth the price and the convenience of the bus is great since you don’t have to worry about parking or driving through the packed streets. After Dyker Heights we got to stop at a great photo spot for the Brooklyn bridge perfect quick pit stop to get some photos before heading back. Highly recommend and would do it again!

Alan was our tour guide. He was a local and had great knowledge of the area, especially the portion of Manhattan that we drove through. I would love to take a tour of all of Manhattan with him! I chose this tour because it went through 2 neighborhoods with lights. The first (can’t remember what it was called) was nice but not as many houses with lights as Dyker Heights, but also not as many people walking around which I liked. Dyker Heights was mayhem lol. So many cars, people, and hot chocolate trucks. There were multiple tour groups so you had to be careful to keep an eye on Alan or you could accidentally start following the wrong group. Lots of houses with lights, some completely decked out. It was pretty. I think I would have preferred to be in the warmth of a vehicle rather than walking around in the cold but alas, buses aren’t allowed down the residential streets. Last stop was a very pretty spot to take pics of the Brooklyn Bridge and lower Manhattan skyline.

Great tour to Brooklyn and the Christmas lights. It was busy and cold but great to see. Lots of good information from louiz along the way. A highlight for us was the last stop under the Brooklyn bridge and the view back to Manhattan. Eat before you go, it’s a long ride with an empty belly.

Very Disappointing, not fun and festive like you would think

We were very excited about going on this tour but this was very disappointing. We loved our first trip to NYC. This was the only thing that went badly. It was very disorganized and I’m sure if there was a different tour guide it would have been a nice trip. Ours didn’t do a good job of explaining our surroundings, which would have been nice. I thought it would have been a more festive fun ride. At the end of our tour they did not drop us back off where we started like it states. They dropped us off 10 blocks away and we walked back to our hotel. After walking all day long we were looking forward to relaxing on this tour. Therefore, I would not recommend this tour.

Being so close to Christmas, the area was absolutely packed! (And I’m not one for dense crowds). However, our guide Andrea was the perfect guide. She also included some brief stops along the way to snap some pictures- including below the Brooklyn bridge at night. Overall, was a great evening!!
