It turned out that we were the only ones to sign up for our tour, so Justin was our personal tour guide for a few hours! It was a great balance of history and food and spots supporting the current community. Justin had a ton of knowledge and was a great guide!

A little something for everyone

We took the Flat Iron tour with Like a Local. It covered architecture, history, and food. This way, for our family of four (ages 7-37), there was something for everyone. Previous reviews mentioned small portion sizes so we did eat breakfast before going. Mistake! You get plenty of food. A whole slice of pizza, half a bagel sandwich, a serving of gelato, a mini pastry, and some coffee. It was all delicious and the guide had lots of information to share.

Fun and entertaining food tour by Justin of the flat iron district! Beautiful buildings that you never think to look up to see while you were just walking along the street. It was nice to get a sense of the history of this fascinating neighborhood. Great food too!

A very enjoyable tour, even for people who live/have lived in New York City

My husband and I met and married in New York City in the early 2000s, so we were not exactly strangers to all the various communities and areas of Manhattan. But since we moved back to California in 2005, we like to go on tours of areas we loved and/or didn't get to know as well when we lived there, and to see what's changed over the years. The Flatiron District Tour was one of the better tours we've enjoyed. Our guide was funny and knowledgable, and pointed out a great number of details we missed during our years here. Regardless if you are a first-time visitor to the city or someone who lived here for years, this was a very enjoyable tour for all.
