Seating goes according to weight and balance. Weight maximum is 250 pounds per person. Passengers are weighed at our facility and passengers weighing over the weight limit are required to purchase an additional seat or will forfeit their flight.
Helicopter seats 6 passengers and 1 pilot. All tours are shared with other passengers. All 6 seats must be purchased for a private tour. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative time or date.
Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date.
Passengers must arrive 45 minutes prior to scheduled flight time with Identification It is strongly advised to arrive prior to check in time to avoid being charged late fee *** ***LATE FEE PRICES*** Passengers failing to arrive 45 minutes prior to scheduled flight time will be charged $50.00 per person late fee. Passengers arriving 30 minutes or less prior to scheduled flight time will be charged $100.00 per person late fee.
New York Helicopter has the right to cancel, change or delay any flight any time for any reason, which includes weather conditions, Temporary Flight Restrictions implemented by the FAA, minimum number of passengers not met for tour, helicopter maintenance and all other circumstances outside of our control.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travellers. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Taking a helicopter ride around NYC was always on my bucket list. This was my first time back up to NY in a while. I decided to cross this event off my bucket list, especially since I don't know when I'll be coming back up to NYC. The helicopter was a little bigger than I thought it'd be. The ride was longer than I thought it'd be. I learned a lot of trivia. You can beat the views from up there! The only thing that would have made it better for me, was if I was sitting in the front! I highly recommend this tour. The staff was great!

I reached the pick up point by 3:30 when my ride was at 4:00 I was charged $250 as late fees. However my flight began at 4:51 and for this delay no one took responsibility. It was so hot in the chopper we were all drenched in sweat. The lady in the office was so rude I would never recommend this to any of my friends rather advertise against this.

We could not reach the phone number which was listed. We had to find out another telephone nr from the company. Therefor we were 5min late. Really 5min. To be clear we were not too late but we called in too late. And only really 5min. Therefor we had to pay US250 more. And this was shouted at me. Really unbelievable. Shuttle was dirty. Personnel were all afraid of the boss. A lady which was really very very unfriendly. Not professional. The flight however was super! Pilot was super.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

DO NOT TRY THIS PROVIDER ! This is by far one of the worst providers that I have ever met. I booked this tour as a present for my wife. The old lady that is that manager was totally rude an unkind. We arrived 44 minutes before the hour and she charged us with lates fee (I called at the entrance of the parking 3 minutes before to request the shuttle, and the old lady was so rude and neglected to check in my wife until we were in the front of dry dock bistro). The manager didn’t care that the bridge that connects to the dock was closed that day and we had to look for another alternative route (thanks to a kind Uber driver). Several other persons complaint because they were charged with ridiculous fees. The lady even threat us to not letting she go on the tour because we were disputing the late fee. At the end my wife enjoyed the tour after she got on the helicopter. But better try another provider like FLYNYON (they are located in the same dock, I stopped by after our tour - very nice installations and they don’t charge you with ridiculous fees and I could see that the staff is super prepared and kind).

We arrived late so we were charged $300 ($100 per person) as per agreement. I charged it to the family member who caused the delay though...👹 They gave us a free extension making the trip a bit longer so we had the opportunity to see more. Without that, the trip would have been a bit short. Very good experience overall...

Reading the reviews had me a little nervous but my experience was good. Staff were friendly and the whole process went smoothly. My only con would be that the shuttle had no AC so the ride to the helicopter pad was torture, there was an unexpected additional 45 dollar charge per person and the overall helicopter ride seemed faster than what I expected. Definitely an experience to go one time just to say you’ve done it but definitely wasn’t worth all that they are charging.

The ride and the pilot were fantastic, but wouldn’t trust the staff to run a lemonade stand, much less an aviation tour company. With this company, you get what you pay for. Their pricing and policies are honest and up front, so read the instrucitons. The one star reviews are overreactions to what I see is an undertrained and unprofessional staff. They read instructions in a monotone while staring at the floor. They never smile, are not kind, and stare at you slack jawed when you ask a question. If they do answer, they don’t look at you as they speak. I asked where the restroom was and was responded to with a grunt, a hand gesture towards the restroom, and an eye roll. Then he went back to eating a sandwich. It was as if they had never been taught manners, and couldn’t be bothered to communicate with each other or their customers. One staff member swiped my card for the hangar fee, then ten minutes later another tried to do it again. Not a scam, they just didn’t care to communicate. Luckily I stopped them before that happened. Show up an hour early so you don’t get charged $100, but once you do, be prepared to wait for 45 minutes in a dingy room with uncomfortable plastic chairs and a Stephen Segall movie playing on a TV. Like I said, you get what you pay for.
