What To Expect

Make your way to the family-owned Kualoa Ranch, a working cattle ranch in the sacred Ka'a'awa Valley. The windward side of the island, where the ranch is located, has a very different landscape than the beaches of Waikiki and is ripe for exploration. The cliffs, beaches and thick rainforest have made up the backdrop for many blockbuster films like Pearl Harbor and Jurassic Park.

Meet your experienced adventure guides for a short orientation, then get fitted with your safety equipment. Take off over the series of fourteen ziplines, each named for a culturally significant aspect of the Ka'a'awa Valley and ranging in length from 200 feet to 1/4 mile (.4 km). The course has an automatic braking system, so all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. Fly through the forest and across burbling natural streams. Cross several suspension bridges and learn about the local plant and animal life from your guide along the way.

Embark on a couple of short treks along nature trails, each about 5 minutes in length, as your guide points out Hawaiian medicinal plants and describes their ancient traditional uses.

Went here for my bday ! I had 4 friends that were supposed to come but due to personal issues two weren’t able to come ! My other friend wasn’t able to buy her ticket so the ranch was so helpful in using my two other friends tickets for her to take instead .

Our tour guides were incredible! I enjoyed learning about the culture of Hawaii, getting to walk some trails, and see some of the movies spots as well! The zip lines were incredible! Not too many but enough! Wear good shoes and be prepared to continue on if it rains as it did for us!

The beauty of nature. The beauty of the Ranch. The helpful attitude of all the guides plus the driver. Warm friendly attitude from them. Cole was the best with the other two right behind. He called us zippies at first and we graduated at the end. Was very cute. Without the three of them plus the driver it would have been a regular activity. They made it fun and enjoyable. This trio of zip line guides, Jorey, Mark and Rey, were wonderful. I have two artificial knees and 2 artificial ankles. Mark made sure I had a great start and Jorey made the landing easier for me. Rae helped me up the walking trail and made it bearable. My husband got to enjoy himself a little more because they meet all my needs. They all had great senses of humor and made it a fun afternoon. It was a great time for us because of these three.
