Overview

Explore Oahu's waters on this submarine-style glass-bottom boat ride aboard the Atlantis Submarine. During this family-friendly adventure, learn about the local fish, coral and other animals in this marine habitat through your guide's informative commentary. Please be aware all passengers must be 36" or taller to ride. Descend 100 feet (30 meters) under the surface of the water without getting wet.

What To Expect

Following your arrival, transfer to the boarding zone for the launch that takes you to the submarine dive zone. Arrive at the submarine for your underwater experience. This submarine-style glass-bottom boat that allows crystal clear views of Oahu's underwater activity.

Peer through the boat's panoramic windows at clusters of bright coral and schools of tropical fish. Listen as your guide details the animals and plants that thrive in this spectacular marine environment. View sea turtles, Hawaiian tropical fish and living coral on this family-friendly underwater journey. 

Choose to upgrade your experience to the Premium Submarine Tour. The world's largest 64-passenger submarine offers an enhanced amount of personal space and large viewports. This comfortable environment offers 65% greater viewing area as compared to the smaller submarine.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

The views were amazing (says my son). The entire experience was very good, from booking to checking in to the boat ride to and from the submarine, and most of all the views from upto 100 feet under water (we got to 107 ft). The staff was very professional and friendly.

We saw a white tipped reef shark, several sea turtles, starfish, a ray and a bunch of fish. It was a really interesting tour.

The process from check-in to boarding the submarine was awesome. Our guides were funny and shared valuable knowledge. The experience itself was boring. Very few fish to see, only one turtle, and nothing else. A totally different experience than what the tourism video suggested. In fact, we didn't even bother booking another trip to snorkel due to the lack of marine life we experienced. This was not worth the fee and I would not recommend.

Unfortunately, Waikiki has very sparse natural reef environments, and over the past 100 years, the natural reef has been disappearing. In collaboration with the University of Hawaii Sea Grant Program, we have created many expansive artificial reef environments that have helped reef and marine life flourish. Being under the sea! What a great experience. Now when I watch all those shows about under water animals or ship wrecks, I can really know what it is like to be there! The crew was great, the jokes were weak, but funny. We learned a lot and truly enjoyed it.

A unique experience

We are an older couple in our 70s and brought our granddaughter, and this was a comfortable and unique way to see a man-made reef. We had the good fortune of seeing one shark and five green turtles along with clouds of other fish. The crew was professional and they've worked out how to make boarding the sub easy. My 18-year-old granddaughter got to see things she's never seen before, thank you

White tip reef shark spotted

My husband and I went on the tour and our favorite part had to be the white tip reef shark we saw. It was so crazy seeing one up close and underwater. My second favorite part had to be the puffer fish that followed along with us for a bit. Overall an amazing experience that you have to try.

Absolutely Fantastic, amazing experience, wasn't sure if I'd like it or not but had the best time ever. Managed to make it down to just shy of 110ft. Saw loads of different fish types along with Turtles and a Stingray. The guide was absolutely HILARIOUS & had us all in stitches.
