What To Expect

Climb aboard a state-of-the-art helicopter that lacks only one thing: doors. This allows you unobstructed views as you tour the island and makes for fantastic photo opportunities. Meet your expert pilot, who will narrate the experience as you fly over Oahu's landmarks. Choose standard open seating or opt for First Class seating for a more intimate experience including you and one other person.

Start by soaring over Honolulu Harbor, the Aloha Tower, Magic Island, Keehi Lagoon and Ala Moana Beach Park. Head out of the highly developed Honolulu area and towards the greener side of Oahu, which includes waterfalls, mountains and verdant valleys.

See the soft white Waimanalo Beach and the coral formations of Kaeohe Bay, striking when viewed from the air. See the Chinaman's Hat before heading to Ka'a'awa Valley, where a dozen major motion pictures have been filmed.

On the east end of the island lies Hanauma Bay, the remnants of a volcano crater that's now a marine sanctuary and popular snorkel location. See the Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach, Makapuu Point and its lighthouse, followed by Sea Life Park.

The island's central plain is host to the world's largest agricultural maze at the Dole Plantation. View Sacred Falls, a sheer waterfall with a 1,000-foot (300-meter) drop. Finish your Oahu helicopter tour with a panoramic view of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial.

To allow maximum flexibility in your schedule, you are not required to choose a specific flight time when booking. You may choose your desired flight time upon reconfirmation. Please note that flight times are on a first-come, first-served basis
The First Class option must be sold as a party of 2 only. If there are more than 2 adults in the party, a separate reservation must be made for the remaining members of the party.

We ask that guests be able to climb the three steps up into the aircraft.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 3 full days before the experience’s start time.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Conditions Too windy…

Can’t say that I enjoyed trip. Conditions were still very windy and ride was very choppy, uncomfortable. Could barely hear commentary from pilot even though the volume was all the way up. The island had been under a high wind advisory for the prior two days and the day of the trip on 2/11 the winds were still high. Pilot Evan was a pro and able to handle the aircraft and continue to ask if we were ok and got us back safely. Tip: Please leave your valuables, purse, wallets, etc. locked in your car. Made the mistake of trusting office personnel to “lock up”my wristlet. When it was returned, $40 was missing! I know because I had just taken out $80 from atm en route to their property, no other stops in between. Once on their site I purchased a $10 phone holder and afterwards I tipped the pilot the $35 which was all the cash left.

After looking at a couple of different helicopter tours, we decided to go with Magnum Helicopter Tours for one of our honeymoon excursions. Neither my husband nor I had ever been on a helicopter before, so we were not exactly sure what to expect. We followed previous reviews that stated we should wear sunglasses and a sweatshirt, which were grateful for, as it got pretty cool up in the air. We were seated in the second row, which we preferred, as neither one of us had an obstructed view, as I feel the individual in the middle seat in the front had. It was awesome to take this tour on our first full day in Oahu, as we got to see the entire island, as well as get some ideas on things to do on days we had not yet made plans for. The professional photos taken were not too expensive to purchase either. This was definitely an amazing experience and we would do it again!
