      My 6 year old wanted nothing more than to surf on our Hawaiian vacation so I was thrilled to find this as other group surf lessons restricted age to 12 or older. There was some practice in the beach before heading into the water. The instructor towed my kids board back and forth so they could ride waves. My husband stayed in the water to assist when needed, be it keeping my kid from running into people, to helping them onto the surfboard. My kid had a blast and was more successful staying on the board than other older kids out there trying to surf. Would recommend only if your kid is a strong swimmer and can follow directions.
