The Moana Catamaran is located on the south end of Kewalo Harbor, at slip D 108.we recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to departure time. Boarding begins 15 min prior to departure time. Best parking is located on the north and east ends of the harbor.

What an amazing experience. I was very nervous very scared as it was my first time snorkeling and my 8yr Olds too. Wasn't sure he would like it or even make it into the water, but the crew was very encouraging. Captain took his time with us explaining how the equipment works and what to do. 1 lifeguard comes into the water with the group which I loved especially for us first timers. We saw plenty of fish and about 3-4 turtles. Once my son got comfortable in the water he did not want to leave. It was definitely the highlight of our trip. Thank you so much Moana amazing experience for me and my son 10/10.

We took our three kids aged 7, 3 and 20 months. The 7 year old absolutely loved the snorkelling. The 3 year old and baby, not so much :) BUT both the younger kids saw several huge turtles from the boat! They were so happy and really enjoyed the day. The crew was very professional. There were lifeguards on duty and they really helped us out when we had the three kids in the water. The Captain was also a good guy. A very straight shooter, but I had no doubt that he took his role and the safety of his clients very seriously. I very much appreciated that, since it was a bit of a handful dealing with three little ones! Overall I’d highly recommend this trip. Just be aware that if you do bring smaller kids, you need to be well prepared and bring along a sense of humour 🤣

The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. We were new to snorkeling and the captain explained instructions 1 to 1 and made sure we felt safe and confident in going into the water. If people didn't feel comfortable going in the water, the lifeguards were encouraging but not pushy. We saw many turtles and one even came up and swam above water with us! We had a lifeguard in the water with us the entire time. He kept an eye on everyone and even helped us spot some turtles. The staff has water on board but if traveling with kids, I suggest bring a small snack. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time.

What an amazing experience! I loved every minute! I highly recommend this tour. Where to start? The booking process was clear and simple. The communication was excellent. The crew was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and safety conscious. The vessel was clean and well kept. The equipment was in excellent condition. This was a dream come true. I loved the drop down staircase that made entry into and exit out of the water accessible. I felt very safe in the water. The guides were right there pointing out where to look for sea life and one even caught a small octopus! There were plenty of turtles and fish to see. I never felt rushed. This was just the perfect tour! I highly recommend and would definitely go again if given the chance.

The crew was friendly, safe, and helpful. We saw plenty of fish and turtles. However, if you have children who are not strong swimmers or are younger than 7 or 8, this is not a good choice for an activity for them. Snorkeling requires a certain skill set that is too difficult for young children. That along with the swells and currents of the ocean makes this too hard for little ones. All of the young kids on our boat just hung onto the raft tied to the boat and could not master snorkeling. For them and their parents, this was just an expensive boat ride.

What a fun experience! Saw tons of turtles- be sure to bring a waterproof camera. The staff was very friendly & organized. Great quality of snorkel equipment. There are other boats & tours there too but there is plenty of ocean space for all. Went with my family which included my 4.5 year old. The water was a lot rougher than anticipated so unfortunately he quickly wanted to go back on the boat. The staff let you back on the boat if you are having a hard time but you have to wait until everyone gets off first so if you have a little one or are unsure yourself, wait to be one of the last ones to get off so you can quickly get back on. We had to wait about 20 minute to get back on which was scary for my kid but he was safe.

Best ever snorkeling experience with kids

We did this experience for my daughter’s 9th birthday. I decided that an adventure would be best than buying her things she won’t remember. Because if we’re gonna own something, we should own the experience! The trip to and from the turtles on the boat was fabulous. They played upbeat music, the weather was perfect and the views of Honolulu and Diamond Head were spectacular. I remember telling my husband “this is heaven.” I normally get sea sick so I took 1 tab of Dramamine and it worked. A little drowsy but I’d rather be a little drowsy than nauseated. My older son, me, and my husband snorkeled out with the group taking turns because my daughter was a little scared because it was her first time snorkeling. She swam to the board after getting off the boat stairs but that was it. She put her head in the water and saw a few fish and turtles but that was it. She didn’t want to go with the rest of the group. She still had a great time though. She went back on the boat and ate some snacks and water in the boat deck. I had such a great time snorkeling to the group and seeing fish and turtles. It took me some time to get use to snorkeling because water kept getting into my mask. I just had to make the mask tighter and it was better. I recommend getting those plastic things to cover your phone so you can take pictures and videos of the sea life and views. I’m so glad we decided to do this adventure. It was a trip that will be in our memories for a very long time. ALOHA!

This was easy to book, and the price was actually lower than we found elsewhere. The company reached out to us with information, reminders and directions. The crew was friendly and then even took a detour to see some dolphins! There were plenty of turtles to see, the boat was well-maintained and clean, and the focus on safety was important to me with two kids in the water with us. We had a great time, would definitely go again if we are back in Waikiki!

I was impressed with how safe we felt going snorkeling. They had extra lifeguards in the water and on the boat. The crew was friendly and worked hard to keep us away from the crowds and get us all to see some turtles. It was a very quick trip from the harbor to the water so there was plenty of water time. This boat is great for families.
