The guide was very knowledgeable and the site was absolutely breathtaking. I have seen many archaeological sites in Mexico and this was the most impressive.

Excellent tour! Changing the departure time from 9am to 8am was inspired since the weather was cooler and there were less people at the site. Angel was a terrific guide; he was very informative and very much into the history and importance of Monte Alban. He conveyed his sense of awe about the people who lived there and the archaelogists who made discoveries, and we felt it too. Thank you Angel!

I highly recommend this trip.It was a great value for the low cost and The half day was a perfect amount of time for us.
Communication beforehand was active and reliable, pickup was on time, though since we were first and there were many stops , our exit from the city was a bit slow. I was ok with this, as the bus was comfortable and the city charming to see that way.

Conjured a magical recreation of life in the ancient site during the course of an hour as we walked to different places
After that we had an our to explore on our own and could see the layout of the city from the highest pyramid. The architecture is elegant, and the arrangement under cosmic order creates a mystical experience that can’t be captured in photos.

Really enjoyed this visit to Monte Alban. Our guide was Miguel, and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the Zapotec culture and the history of the city. His storytelling really brought the place to life and made it so much more enjoyable than if we had just gone to explore on our own. Absolutely recommend this tour for anyone looking for something to do in Oaxaca!

Our guide was fabulous, with an excellent knowledge of the area, the history, and he was able to share many of his own experiences and thoughts. He is highly organized, arranged to have us picked up at our Airbnb, and the whole trip was very smooth and enjoyable. Recommend you take extra water, a sun hat, and wear sunscreen or an overshirt if the weather is hot and sunny, because there is very little shade. You can stay as short (1/2 day) or as long as you like, as the tour buses seem to be leaving every hour. Enjoy!! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience being with an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Seeing the ruins wouldn't have been nearly as enjoyable without understanding the history and meaning behind the site. Ill be following up with reading more about the zapotec. Thanks

Overall it is a good experience. The weather is very very hot. The guide introduces a lot of detail.
The only thing I want to give hint, it is almost not possible to catch the shuttle back at 12:00. likely once you finished the guided tour the shuttle is already gone. I told all guides I want to be back early at 12:00, still not able to catch the shuttle.

Love the setup of the half day tour with a guided part and then free time after to explore on your own with a shuttle returning every hour. Miguel our guide was great, very knowledgeable and passionate about the place, the history and his work. One of my favorite archaeological sites I’ve been to in Mexico and great guide and setup!
