Betsaida is the most engaging, enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide I’ve ever had on a Viator tour! What a pleasure to take this 5 hour tour! The street food stand had been featured on Somebody Feed Phil, as has Betsaida! She bought 8 fruits we had never seen or tasted before in a tiny local market and the tour ended in the well known market Benito Juarez. Delightful!
Great guide, very...

James_P, Mar 2023
Not just an excellent food tour but a great walking tour of Oaxaca as well! The highlight for me was the first market where we got a lesson on the incredible local fruits before sampling some of the best! Betsaida was absolutely wonderful - friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. Definitely come hungry because you eat A TON of bee very delicious food. Highly recommend
Amazing Food Tour!
Andrew_K, Mar 2023
This was a fantastic tour and honestly a highlight of our trip to Oaxaca. Betsaida is an incredible guide and our tour took us to some of the most delicious (come hungry!) local places in the city. But the tour was also super fun, educational, and casual. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oaxaca!
Best tour in Oaxaca
Merian_K, Mar 2023
This was the best food tour we have done. Lots of variety of delicious food and many stops in various parts of the city. Learnt so much about the history and culture of Oaxaca as well as the food. Betsaida was so friendly and fun and we loved her passion for Oaxaca, its food and culture. Don’t miss this tour
5 hours of food bliss
Jennifer_S, Feb 2023
so much good food. Betsaide said we would be eating 24 items, and I believe we consumed twice that. She was enthusiastic and informative, with the right balance of commentary
So much food and culture!
Richard_A, Feb 2023
Betsaida was an amazing host who made everyone seem so welcome. The tour delivered on all of its promises and more.
Perfect first day in Oaxaca
Pauline_T, Feb 2023
Bethsaida gave us a warm and wonderful welcome. She not only introduced us to the delicious foods of Oaxaca (24 tastes), but also its rich history, culture and the local women who put so much pride and tender, loving care into their cooking. We loved wandering the markets, trying different types of exotic indigenous fruits, mezcals, and non-alcoholic drinks of the Zapotec culture, not to mention tasting our way through meat alley. What an amazing start to our trip!
Wonderful day, Lovely guide
Jack_R, Jan 2023
An absolutely wonderful way to start our trip. Betsaida was the perfect guide and truly lovely person. Was able to learn a bit about Mexican history while stuffing ourselves with a huge variety of local dishes and fruits. Highly recommend
Do Not Miss This Tour!!!
Bernard_M, Jan 2023
Best tour we ever took and If we could give 10⭐️ we would! Betsaida is a wonderful, knowledgeable guide and her tour exceeded our expectations. She has a great knowledge of the history of Oaxaca beyond the food. She made sure the pace worked perfectly for young or old and what we had to eat was out of this world. She knows the best available in the time frame we had, and offers suggestions for different spots when on your own.
Desaidra Lopez, the best
Sandra_L, Jan 2023
So many places, so much food provided by Desaidra. Far exceeded our expectations of this food tour. So much fun with a group size of 10, would do it again. Meeting point was easy to find, across from church next to Italian coffee cafe where I assumed we would have our first coffee of the day. But no, Desaidra took us up the street for authentic Mexican coffee. A delicious experience.
This tour is so, so, so...
rayearth53, Jan 2023
This tour is so, so, so worth it. Betsaida took us to so many different places and let us try so many different things, there's no way I would have been able to do this myself even if I'd asked 100 people! We got to experience and taste so much stuff -- little fruits that I would have never known how to ask for or eat. Plus she's just so vibrant and bubbly it's hard not to fall in love with everything. Oaxaca is such a gem and she really lets you experience it.
Wonderful food tour!
Dan_L, Jan 2023
This tour was a wonderful way to experience the food of Oaxaca. Betsaida was a great guide and knowledgeable on all things Oaxacan! The food is amazing and she explains the dishes and Oaxacan history of her entire time. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. A must when visiting Oaxaca!

Not to be missed!!
Jerrol_K, Dec 2022
The best experience in Oaxaca! Our guide was beautiful and funny and extremely generous with her time and knowledge. We ate street food and ate inside several markets. With each bite or dish or drink, we were given an in depth explanation. 8 people on the tour which made it very intimate. Our guide was featured on Somebody Feed Phil episode in Oaxaca. She also shared about the rich history of Oaxaca. The tour really invited us into the culture of the city. Not to be missed!!
Best food tour ever
