Had a great experience from start to finish. Picked up and dropped off by the cruise port and everyone along the way was fun and nice (driver, tour guides, etc). Had plenty of time at both Dunns River and Blue Hole. All in all a great experience and we highly recommend.

We toured 9/12/2023. Coming off the ship, you need the information email you are sent the day prior to tour. We were met by customs officials who directed us to our driver, Godfrey. We boarded our bus and he made sure we all had our water shoes. (From personal experience, not all are created equally. The falls are really slippery. Try to find some with grip.) We arrived at Dunn's River Falls early before most of the groups and it was AMAZING! Godfrey turned us over to our guide, Milton, who made sure we all made it up safely. The climb is not strenuous, just tricky in that it is slippery. There is a part you have to bend to climb under a bridge (info for anyone who might be questioning their mobility.) While climbing, another company took video and still photos. (You purchase these at the end for $40). Our driver explained in advance not to give our names to anyone, so they didn't engrave things and try to force us to pay for items we did not want. Maybe because we were one of the first buses there for the day, we didn't have as many vendors, but I did not experience being bombarded at the falls. A couple tried to sell things but if anyone said, "No", they just went about their business. The falls are beautiful, and you have a sense of accomplishment when you reach the top. 10/10 for sure and I would definitely do this again. From there, Godfrey loaded us back onto the bus for our second stop, the Blue Hole. We were met by a guide then climbed down a few stairs and had the option of jumping off a cliff into the water (about 20 ft) or using a rope swing (or both). After everyone had a chance to jump, the group continued to walk for a while on a path with stairs up and down to a second stop to jump into the water. This was a little more strenuous climbing, but not impossible (I am out of shape and didn't have any problems keeping up, but there are stairs and inclines.) This was a higher area where the group had the option of climbing to with a narrow ledge to the platform where you hold a rope on the side of the rock then jump from another platform. You could stay at the bottom and watch or climb to jump. Along this area were people selling trinkets, drinks, and other things. We left this area as a group and stopped again to swing from a cable-like thing over the water to drop into another pool of water then hiked back to the starting point where Godfrey was waiting for us in the bus. Godfrey then took us to a popular restaurant for lunch. It was so overcrowded; he went in and asked them to bring us to go orders to the bus. A lady there came and took our orders and delivered the food where we ate for a while before heading back to the ship. (Restaurant took cash and credit cards.) We had time before we had to be back at the ship so he dropped off anyone who wanted to go back to the ship and took the rest shopping in a certain area close to the port. He was very careful in helping us to bargain on price and be sure we were not taken advantage of. This is my first time booking through Viator and I had an excellent experience! No issues with any part of the process & Kool Jamaica Tours and their driver, Godfrey, provided us with an amazing tour of their island. It was my favorite of all 3 ports because of this tour. If you have the chance, you do not want to miss this! Thank you for this opportunity!

Absolutely exceeded our expectations at every level. Guides were outstanding at both spots. While similar, the experiences are unoquie and we are so glad we did both! Special call out CJ at the Blue Hole, and to our Viator driver Orette. Tip - check the cruise port schedule and book on a day when ships are NOT in port. Way less crowded, and more personal!

Orette picked us up from our resort, he was timely and accommodating. He was very friendly and welcoming the best driver we’ve met so far (and we travel often) he made the whole day go by so smoothly and enhanced our vacation in Jamaica. Refreshing & Exhausting Day of Fun

Lindo (our tour guide) was amazing, patient with my 9yo and 12yo children. he even jumped off cliffs with my 9yo because she was scared, took pictures and video with our camera. we loved every minute of these memories with our kids. it was a wonderful experience. our driver Orette from JUTA was also punctual, clean van with AC and water ready. He explained the towns we drove through, waited patiently for us at each attraction… he even stopped so we could by lunch and waited for us… then took us to the Cambio because we needed JMDs as we ran out. He was never in a hurry, always smiling and let us feel so comfortable. so glad i book this package. it’s a full day but if you are short on time it’s a great full day you’ll never forget. Jamaica is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Breathtaking Tour

This was an amazing experience. Our kids (ages 10 and 8) were able to do all of the activities. The Falls were a bit scary, but super fun. The guides really helped along the way. They were super patient with everyone. The Blue Hole was great as well. I highly recommend!

Blue Hole was great ! Wife conquered her fear of heights! The tour guide at the hole was safe and let out group of 15 jump numerous times from each hole and kept us all safe. Dunno River was great as well. A bit crowded without a cruise ship in port… but we kept moving! Our guide (#33) was a pro kept our hole group safe and together! I was really impressed!

Our tour guide at blue hole was super friendly and explained so much of the culture to us. Unlike the other tours, we didn't feel rushed. He was kind, good with the kids and overall one of the best tour guides we had in Jamaica. Dunns River was beautiful as well but felt rushed and tour guides were pushy for High tips. In all the trip was amazing and I highly recommend!

Fun Adventure

Our driver, Orette, picked us up right on time (9am) from our resort. He told us his life story with the goal of making us feel comfortable traveling with him all day. He shared so much about Jamaica's culture and pointed out cool things along the way. The van that we traveled in was very comfortable and he had a cooler with complimentary waters and sodas for us to have along the way. We picked up another group and then traveled to Dunn's River. We had a great time at Dunn's River-- definitely something that everyone should experience once when in Jamaica. However, at Dunn's River they make you wait until you have a full group (about 20 people) and so we spent a lot of time waiting around before actually going to the falls. Once we started climbing, we continued to have a lot of time waiting around at each stopping point in the falls for photos and videos of each family. A videographer travels with your tour and you have the option of purchasing a video for $40-- we did this and were disappointed with the outcome, not worth $40. We brought one of our phones in a waterproof case and the tour guide took plenty of footage on that, we really didn't need the video. We were lucky in that it wasn't overly crowded because there were no cruise ships in town on this day. We are also glad we came to Dunn's River first because it would have felt boring to do after Blue Hole. The Blue Hole was absolutely incredible-- SOOO much fun! We met our tour guides Lindo & Bob and they gave us life jackets to wear (these jackets smelled so bad, but luckily after our first jump into the water once they saw we could swim they let us take them off). Here, you climb through more waterfalls and stop at four different pools. The first pool has some smaller falls and a couple of places to cliff jump. Then, the second pool is much smaller and you are given the opportunity to cannon ball right into the waterfall. The third pool is where the largest falls are (picture linked) with a platform about 12ft high to jump from. The tour guides do some crazy jumps over the falls for entertainment while you are here. Lastly, the fourth pool has a tarzan swing. Never once did we feel rushed at the Blue Pool. The tour guides were our own personal photographer & videographer-- they took amazing footage right on our own phones. Bring a waterproof phone case!! Our tour happened to run long and we did not get back to the resort until after 3:30pm, but I think that is because we spent a little longer than we were supposed to at the Blue Hole, which was sooo worth it. Just be prepared to be flexible with time. Both attractions are within a half hour of the Ocho Rios resorts. On our drive back to the resorts there were terrible storms, and our driver was not phased. He even stopped at a little store on the way back for one of the other passengers to run in and buy something. Overall, we were super happy with this experience--> this seems to be the only tour that combines both Dunns River and Blue Hole and this combination was perfect.

Both locations were beautiful and a must see. The water at both locations are incredible! At Dunn River only complaint was the tour guide pushed for more tips than he was given which he got a fair amount because each family in my party gave him something. Our videographer Curtis was nice and made the experience lively and did not pressure everyone for a tip and was happy with what was given. Blue hole, if I has to choose was the best ! We had a lovely tour guide I believe his name is Fabian he was kind, fun and patient didn't rush us through the tour and allowed us to enjoy the Beauty that was all around.
