A very nice tour, where we had the luck to be the only ones to participate. Our guide was very knowledgable and patient and had lot`s of interesting stuff to tell. In my opinion the best way to get to know Montmatre within a quick timeframe. I can only recommend - high value for money!

We also thought about a stop for a refreshment, but we had to understand that the expectations between old and young, families with children and guests with different cultural backgrounds are too far apart for such a proposal. The good news: our tour ends at Place du Tetre with plenty of cafés, restaurants and brasseries around for having a drink or some food. Montmartre is what I pictured Paris to be! It is very picturesque and learning the history of the area was very interesting. Walking up the small streets toward the church was an amazing adventure.

Our guide provided an enjoyable and interesting narrative of key elements of Montmartre. She also carefully limited the amount of uphill walking with frequent breaks while she explained the local history, thus limiting the amount of physical exertion. At the conclusion of the tour, we were concerned that we might not be able to find our way to the Metro station, so she accompanied us down the hill to make sure we did not get lost. This was above expectations and appreciated. We now want to visit this neighborhood again when we come back to Paris.
