What To Expect

Choose an entry time when booking, then meet your host 30 minutes ahead of time at the designated meeting spot and make the short walk over to the Eiffel Tower together.

Breeze past the long entry lines of other waiting visitors and follow your host onto the priority access elevator. Zip up to the second level, where you can get excellent photo ops and panoramic views of Paris from 375 feet (114 meters) above the ground. Listen to a brief orientation, then you're on your own to wander and take in the sights as you please. Views include the Champ de Mars, Sacré Coeur, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre's iconic pyramid-shaped building.

It was raining and cold the day I did the tour but it’s worth going up to see the Eiffel tower.

It is however very very crowded on the tower so be prepared for alot of elbows with some pushing and shoving from some of the less patient tourists.

There is a cafe area on level 1 serving fresh food and coffee at very decent prices.

We were so disappointed when we could not get tickets through the Eiffel Tower, but this tour more than made up for it. We did not have to wait in line and the tour guide, Claudia, was fantastic. She share lots of fantastic information and we had plenty of time to explore the tower. Would definitely recommend.

No direction

We kept calling the number that was attached to the tour guide and we never got an answer and it took almost a whole day before we got a response on the messaging option on the viator website. We were from out of town so it was very confusing and there was not much direction.

For first time goers to the tower, this is a great option.

Sal was great and this tour was just what we were looking for. It was a short walk from the meeting point to the monument and the skip the line ticket was clutch. Sal guided us up to the second floor via lift with plenty of history, geography, and suggestions to enjoy ourselves while at the Eiffel Tower and in Paris. I highly recommend this tour option.

My daughter has wanted to visit the Eiffel tower for several years. I'm so glad I choose to book this tour. Our guide, Catalina, was amazing! Her English is great. She has such enthusiasm for Paris and for the stories around the tower. She interacted well with everyone and made sure children were included. Highly recommend!

Routine visit and queues but great views over Paris on a sunny Feb day. Brief history of Tower and landmarks pointed out by nice guide and then left to own devices. Big ticket mark up by agents: on line tickets direct from Tower (if they've not all been hoovered up by the various reseller agents- I tried to no avail months in advance to buy own tickets on line)are 18:10 euros adults and 9 euros for 12-24 yrs. Agents sell only adult priced tickets for about 63 euros.! I know they provide a queue jump and" guide". Maybe the French equivalent of the Competition and markets authority should have at look at the relationship between the resellers and the Tower.

I had planned trip to Paris for my Wife’s Birthday. I had booked with Viator first then read the reviews and was a bit concerned that the experience would not go as planned. Unlike other reviews, I encountered no problems when I arrived at the Ticket Collection spot. I did arrive in plenty of time and was welcomed inside while the rest of the tour party arrived. There was no “If your 5 mins late for the stated time, the party will leave without you”. As far as I’m aware, We waited on everyone who had booked arriving, then left to do the short walk round to the Eiffel Tower. There was no hassle on arrival and we went straight through to the security checks, without waiting in the nearby line that was forming. I will admit that on a cold day in January, it was quiet and this may take longer in the summer months. On to the tour. Without giving too much away as you will enjoy your own experience. Our guide said that as it was cold day with a biting wind. Once inside, we were free to pretty much do our own thing. Trust me though, our guide, SYLVIA, was absolutely brilliant, very witty and interesting. She spoke perfect English for anyone with any language concerns and had a laugh and a joke with everyone in the party. Her stories and information were definitely better than anything you can pick up from Google/Wikipedia. Obviously the Tower is an outstanding piece of engineering and the views from up there are spectacular. I firmly believe that the guided tour added that extra element rather than just standing looking out. She identified all the famous sites from our viewpoint and some sites that we never had an idea about. All in all, I would say that Yes, you may get a cheaper ticket if you go there on the day etc. but if you want to make sure that everything is in place when you arrive in Paris, then I would highly recommend this booking as a must do event.

The guide, Sebastian, from Argentina (?) was extremely helpful. Gave us the history, pointed out things to look at from all four sides of the tower, and did it all with a genuine soft humour.

This was a bad option for the visit of the Eiffel tower. All they did was give a brief history about the tower and then said it's over. Really a rip off.

Frustrating

The original email from Viator states ‘you may access your tickets below’ and has is a button to ‘get tickets’. No where in the email does it specify we need to get a voucher and take this to a location first then to the Eiffel Tower. We were at the tower ready to show tickets when I clicked it and was taken to the voucher screen telling us to go to the other location. By the time we arrived, less than 15 mins after our tour time was supposed to begin, the office was already closed and nothing could be done. Simply providing this information in the email would have saved a lot of headache and money lost. We pleaded our case with the tower but they were unable to do anything because the tickets were with Viator. Next time I will book directly with the tower. A significant amount of money on tickets for 5 people lost and apparently non refundable.

We would like to thank Viator and the tour operator they are cooperating in Paris for their hospitality. The guides who helped us during the tour were great. They had a Turkish speaking guide to take us to Tour Eiffel and explain the details about the tour and Eiffel Tower's history.

Not worth the money spent

We went on the skip the line tour with guide. It did not feel like skip the line. Because we were group it took longer to get through security than the individual line. Our guide unfortunately was not upto mark. He lost his group on at least two occasions. Chose absolutely the wrong places to stop and talk. Eg: outside a packed elevator and the ones at back could not hear anything. My suggestion - but the tickets direct from provider. Children will be half price ( which is not the case with viator). Read a bit about Eiffel your and you will be fine.
