Ivo met us at the meeting place and immediately began educating my teen daughters and me on Parisian fashion history. Spending time with Ivo was wonderful. He is like a friend you’ve known for years but also with exceptional knowledge of fashion. We walked around shopping neighbourhoods and stopped in front of the biggest stores in fashion industry and Ivo had plenty of information to share about each. Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide, Ivo. Ivo showed us a gem of a vintage clothing store with an impeccable selection, a bag/luggage house for the in-the-know set, and several other scenes that were a mix of the expected and surprising. It was great to spend time with someone who has an excellent understanding of classic fashion, it’s history, and it’s quirks. We learned about the nuances that distinguish the well known French fashion houses and what defines haute couture. Also, we learned some things, both naughty and nice, about the cold business side of fashion. This tour was so much more and so much richer than I expected.
