What To Expect

You are not alone if you believe that Parisians are short-tempered, impatient or arrogant. Celebrated French comedian Olivier Giraud agrees and has created this hilarious one-man show, performed in English, revealing the legendary stereotypes of Parisians.

Your evening comedy show takes place at the Théâtre des Nouveautés, near Paris’ Grands Boulevards metro station. Take your seat in the section of your choice (see Additional Info for a seating chart). Please note: This show is not recommended for children under 16.

Giraud nails the stereotypes of Parisians through impersonations and impressions of waiters, shop assistants, bartenders, and even your average old lady hobbling down the street.

Learn how to recognize Parisian facial expressions, how to dress and interact with others and how to use iconic French phrases correctly. Worth seeing!

Being from the US I found this incredibly funny and relatable. I love how he engages with the audience and includes them in the show. If you’re a “thin-skinned” human, this isn’t your thing….This is fun, adult, humor.
Disappointing - could do with updating
Gwyn_W, Feb 2023
While accepting that this was a show predicated on stereo-types, it was very tired and cliched. The presenter has been doing it for years and has perhaps honed his gags for an American audience. There were some funny moments, but much of the material was dated and predicatable.
Great way to spend an hour

Very funny, accurate portrayal of real life in Paris delivered in a funny, engaging way with loads of energy and dance. Great way to spend an hour.
Non-stop laughter

We laughed constantly throughout the show. Olivier has perfected his act and masterfully engages the audience during his show. We purchased two of his books and had them autographed after the show.

My husband and I went our last night in Paris and it was hilarious. He has so much charisma and it was very theatrical and so funny at the same time. Definitely a must see
Really enjoyable show at a reasonable price.

A great show where the host interacted with the audience. I would recommend to anyone visiting Paris.
Fun evening

Fun evening learning how to be a Parisian. Great energy, and great humor. My husband and our adult children attended and we all enjoyed the experience

Kinda funny. Overpriced. Not a bad way to spend an hour, but not really worth the money. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Everything was great! A nice evening of lots of laughs! Great show! He kept me laughing and entertained throughout the show! The people at the venue were also very kind, helpful and professional. Excellent evening all around!
Funny satirical comedian in a beautiful old theater!
Djena_L, Dec 2022
Funny show contrasting stereotypical Parisians with Americans. Definitely satirical. If you enjoy satire, you will love it. Beautiful theater, physical comedian!
Oh wow, was this show FUN!
Cyntha_T, Dec 2022
Oh wow, was this show FUN! I got called out in the show a few times and even got called to get on stage with Oliver! Wow-weee --LOL! It was such a funny show, he is truly a talented guy and knows how to bring a laugh or even a smile to all the Paris encounters and situations! I am so happy I went, it was very fun!
fun
Hiba_O, Dec 2022
This was a fun experience. Would definitely recommend to friends. The only issue is that we came about 50 minutes in advance to collect our tickets, since it's mentioned on the website that we can collect them up to an hour earlier, and they told us at the door that we need to come back 30 minutes before the show. it was inconvenient since we had to wait in the cold weather for 20 minutes or so.
Top notch!

Fun and funny! A different pace from the typical touristy side of Paris, but a not want to miss show!
Very refreshing,...
Katrin_B, Dec 2022
Very refreshing, especially when also familiar with Americans. The comedian has a very defining Mimik and Gesture and puts on a great show. Never boring.
Not a fan

Unfortunately, my husband and I didn’t think it was a very entertaining performance. It’s a one-man performance and while the man seemed very nice, the material was just kind of lacking.

It was really funny for all of us... We didn't realize how fast time went by. We definitely recommended it!!!
NOT FOR ME
cheryl_b, Oct 2022
Too bawdy for my taste; basically insulting to Parisians and others. I know it was “tongue in cheek” but just in poor taste, of course I am too old for this type of humor.
Funny and in English.
Randy_C, Oct 2022
Very funny comedian. Good with English speaking audiences. Not suitable for children (like most comedians).
Great laughs!
Susanne_D, Oct 2022
The comedian was quite entertaining, and very funny. His take on Parisians and others from around the world was spot on. Lol! It was a great way to spend an evening.
