Our guide was friendly and full of knowledge about all of the artwork in the Louvre. She timed the tour perfectly so we had plenty of time to see quite a few art pieces as well as not being crushed by crowds and giving us prime spots to see the Mona Lisa. Highly recommend!

We were in awe of the museum and learned so much because we had an incredible tour guide! Alberto was endlessly knowledgeable, friendly, and far more than I expected. We could have spent the entire day exploring but got to see and learn so much in the 3 hours. We also lucked out because it was supposed to be a group but just ended up being my husband and myself so we got a private tour we weren’t expecting! My only complaint would be that it was hard to find where the tour started but once we did it was perfection

We saw the “highlights of the highlights” with our delightful guide, who navigated what might have been an overwhelmingly chaotic place to show us and tell us lots of details about some of the most special paintings and sculptures (and ancient moat) in the building. The crowds were not excessive, and we got up close to the things we most wanted to see. Not being at all familiar with the Louvre, it was a bit difficult to find the meeting place at first, although the directions (assuming we got into the courtyard!) were good.

Louvre - Mona Lisa!

Susan was very informative and kept things light. She provided history of the Louvre as well as background on all the famous sculptures and paintings. We also got to see Mona Lisa without the crowds. We saw so much more with this tour than we would have had we just walked around by ourselves. I highly recommend this tour.

Though the guide was very good, the whole premise of Mona Lisa without crowds at closing time is a gross misrepresentation. The Louvre is jam packed at 3pm, and there is a 10 minute line to shuffle past that painting. You can pay less elsewhere for the same thing.

History lesson through Art

Carolina was a great tour guide. The way she related the stories about the pieces of art made the artist and history come alive. She spoke clearly and kept the tour moving along. Unfortunately, even though we were touring the museum near closing, it was still extremely crowded. But, that was beyond the tour company’s control as it is the height of the tour season. Carolina did her best to show us pieces of art that were not so heavily visited. She did an excellent job explaining what Leonardo DaVinci did to make the Mona Lisa so unique. We would definitely take another tour with Carolina.

I learned so much from out guide Addi. The tour was great fro my kids— age 10 and 13. Addi brought art history to life and was a thoughtful historian of the Louvre. Her love of the art was contagious.

My first experience with Viator. We were searching for some way to see the Louvre when we had an open day in Paris. All the usual sources of tickets were gone. Viator had tickets for a 3 hour skip-the-line, guided tour. Seemed pretty pricey and was wary, but we only had the one day. Read the fine print because you need to be there 15 minutes before the scheduled time and the meeting is across the street from the museum, near some "hidden" entrances. Was glad to see a group of 3 Viator guides, and they were all super friendly and good service. We had Daniel in a group of 12, all in English. He was great and very entertaining. You are not going to see very much of the collection, but you get an entertaining and educational tour with some good detail on the museum, history, and great knowledge about some of the "selected" pieces. Highly recommended, especially for your first tour of the Louvre.
