Beat the crowds and hidden gems

Wonderful tour! Meeting and check in was easy. We had 16 in our group and got a taste of medieval Paris from the Latin quarter, St. Severin, Saint-Chappell (wow!), Conciergerie, and finally a photo stop in front of Notre Dame. Excellent tour guide!!!! I had to look hard to find this tour on Viator, it needs to be promoted- a true gem.

Language barriers, but good

Clear directions including landmarks to find guide. She was knowledgeable, but her English wasn’t the best. Hesitating to find words and bad pronunciation made her difficult to understand at times. Overall, though, better than other Viator experiences.

This tour is an absolute MUST!

We picked one of the hottest days for this tour. Luckily, most of the tour is inside! Unfortunately, we only saw a little bit from the outside of Notre Dame. The City of Paris is trying to get it all finished by 2024 for the Olympics. As far as I saw, there is still a ton to be done on the outside, not to speak of the inside! I hope it is all getting done by the self-imposed deadline. From the Notre Dame we walked over to Sainte Chapelle and the Conciergerie. What a sight this was. When you enter Sainte Chapelle, one is aghast by its beauty. But the real beauty is on the 2nd floor. This is a spectacular sight and difficult to describe. The stairs to go up to the second level are hidden in a corner and easy to be overlooked. It is an absolute MUST to go upstairs, the beauty takes your breath away! From there we went over to the Conciergerie, Marie Antoinette's prison. Quite an interesting place. This tour is very worth the money and absolutely recommendable.

Guide was lovely & quite knowledgeable but we did not see much of what she was talking about. We would walk into a room/place, she would tell us all about it but not actually show us anything- then whisked us to somewhere else. Company should get Bluetooth capable devices so that those folks with hearing aids can benefit from the commentary. I wear hearing aids & could not use the device because I need to keep my hearing aids in in order to hear around me.

A fabulous walking tour around Ile Notre Dame, taking in what can still be seen of the facade of the cathedral, then a few notable stops, including Marie Antoinette's prison and the incredibly impressive Sainte Chapelle, the stained glass of which has to be seen to be believed quite frankly. A great guide takes you around, pointing out key things as you go too.
