A Fabulous First Day of Spring in Paris

We had a one-day layover in Paris and wanted to make the most of it. We decided to do a full-day guided tour and it was a GREAT decision. Our Discovery Walks tour guide, Thibaut, was wonderful. He was easy-going, relaxed, knowledgable, and fun to be with. He started the tour by sitting down with us with a map, and we chose an itinerary together. He led us all across Paris, walking and via the Metro, with stops in the Marais and Montmartre, and visits to cafes and boulangeries. Even my sons enjoyed it! And that's quite a compliment when the boys in question are 8 and 6. The day happened to be the first day of spring, and it was as beautiful as the cliche "spring in Paris" suggests. We ate croissants and drank coffee and learned and chatted and had a blast. At the end of the day my husband and I had clocked 20,000 incredible steps on our Fitbits and were absolutely thrilled.

We had a wonderful family day and tour with our guide Audrey. She made the tour interesting and fun for all of us - teenagers, parents, and grandparents. We walked through beautiful neighborhoods in the city, enjoyed a great lunch, and saw everything we requested on the tour. Audrey was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and a great guide through Paris. A wonderful day!

I actually was staying in Brussels and took the bullet train to Paris as I had never been there before. Audrey met me at the platform and showed me around all of the sites that I wanted to visit. Due to the time constraints, we did take some taxis which I was happy to cover since it allowed us to cover a larger area. Audrey was exceptional! She was informative, knowledgeable, delightful and endearing. I cannot say enough about my experience with her. She also introduced me to her favorite macaroon shop(Pierre Herme), French bakery and cafe. I can only hope that I will be able to request her the next time I get to travel to Paris.

Let me start by saying...this is a Walking Tour!!! Get your comfortable shoes ready and your umbrella (we were there in January and it rains in Paris) because this is how to see Paris! Our phenomenal guide was Benoit and I recommend him highly. Benoit has a masters degree in history from the Sorbonne. I requested a tour of the non-touristy sights in the St Germain and Marais. The tour was fabulous and the highlight of our trip. We booked this tour at the beginning of our trip which was our first time in Paris. Wanted to get a feel of Paris through the eyes of a local Parisian and it did not disappoint. Benoits knowledge of history was extraordinary and he showed us places that a tourist would never find. We learned so much from Benoit and will request him again when we return to Paris to explore other arrondissements.
Historic day in paris

Maelle did a great job guiding around the major sites of Paris at a brisk pace just as we had asked. As our time was limited to one day in Paris we had asked to hit as many of the historic sites as possible. She was well versed in the history of all the sites we visited and didn't seem to mind our quick pace. In all we got to see 5 major sites including the louvre and sainte chapel along with countlesss minor she planned along the route something only a local could do. . Great job planning and executing a great day for me and my daughter and we appreciate it.

Our guide Leo was awesome. He was passionate about his work, we could tell. He helped me get an amazing sunset shot despite the crowds and took us to one of our best meals in whole trip, a Turkish place as we said we did not want French. The history was fascinating and the walking and subway tour made us feel like locals. 5 stars. Highly recommend.
Perfect way to spend a long layover

We had a 12-hour layover at CDG airport on our way to Budapest. Instead of sitting at the airport all day, we decided to head into the Paris city center. Our tour guide, Audrey, was amazing! She knew we were just coming off of a long-haul overnight flight, and wanted to get us fed right away. Afterward, she took us to a few of the main highlights and then took us to a cafe for some coffee. It really was perfect. I loved that she listened to what we wanted to do and see instead of having her own agenda, she really let us decide what to do. I highly recommend this tour!

Had a great Walking Tour with Julian. He was great explained Paris to us and shared some moving stories with us. Loved the tour and loved Julian. Fantastic day well spent. I think our guide's name was Audrey (I'm sorry if I'm wrong about that!) and she was great. You could tell she really loves Paris, and our trip would not have been the same without spending the day with her. We have a 9-year-old and an 11-year-old and they also loved it. They're a tough audience because they're pretty shy but our guide did a great job with them. We learned a lot but it was fun as well. Again, can't recommend this tour enough!
