What To Expect

Meet your private guide at the Louvre pyramid to begin your tour of the museum, which houses masterpieces from around the world, spanning centuries. 

After entering the museum with skip-the-line privileges (entrance fee at your own expense), your guide shows the top pieces of art, including Venus de Milo, Mona Lisa, and Nike of Samothrace, as well as other works such as paintings by Delacroix, sculptures by Michelangelo, and The Coronation of Napoleon by Jacques-Louis David. In addition to artwork, you'll also have the chance to see valuable artifacts like the French crown jewels.

At the end of your guided tour, you may stay at the museum as long as you wish to continue exploring independently.

    An hour and a half was a good start as she explained the layout and how exhibits were organized.
    While I've been to the Louvre many times, this was my first private tour, and it was well worth it.
    I highly recommend seeing the Louvre with a tour guide and hopefully you will be lucky enough to get Hugo as your guide!

    WASTE OF MONEY

    After spending over $300, we were shown only five pieces of artwork, rushed through the minimal exhibits and given repetitive explanations of art techniques. Two hours, could have been used differently.

    Elenore was fantastic! She called us several days prior to our tour to confirm and gave us a better meeting location. She is personable and full of knowledge. Our tour of the Louvre was a far better experience with Elenore than had we ventured there alone or used the standard audio tour.

    We didn’t have a private tour because our Viator tour guide canceled without telling us. The visit was terrible. Overcrowded to a point that it made it very difficult to appreciate the art. Viator didn’t call to cancel, they then said an email was sent, which wasn’t. This completely ruined our Louvre experience. We are foreign to this country which made it even more difficult to navigate the ticket purchase. The audio guide us also very difficult to use and quite limited its scope

    Henrick was outstanding. He was so knowledgeable and engaging and we learned so much and saw so much of the Louvre with a greater understanding and in far less time than had we fumbled through it ourselves. I am recommending this particular tour to everyone I know because Henrick was so fantastic. We never could have seen all we did had he not been with us. It was very crowded the day we went but we threaded through the crowds with ease not only learning about selected pieces but also about the Louvre itself. Thanks for this amazing, amazing experience!

    I cannot say enough about our amazing guide, Fernanda! She is a brilliant art historian who clearly loves her work. She made the Louvre accessible and enjoyable to the four Americans who knew so little to start. She guided us to some of the most famous and beautiful pieces housed in the museum. We left with a new appreciation for all of the artwork we saw. Fernanda's enthusiasm and energy were inspiring. She is a gem! We definitely got tremendously lucky when we hired this lovely woman.

    Absolutely recommend our English guide, Fernanda as she was knowledgeable and answered our questions throughout the tour. Practically no wait time to get in. She made good use of the time we had with her. And tried to go in chronological order as much as possible through the museum. We had a guide 2/3 of The Louvre and eneded in the Mona Lisa so we can wait in the line ourselves and not take away from the guided tour time frame. Leaving us with Richelieu's wing for us to explore by ourselves (which she explained to us at the beginning of the guide).

    If you want the BEST tour guide, then make sure you get Fernanda! She blew our minds with how much she knew about the different art pieces in the Louvre!! 😍👍🏼We could tell she is passionate about her job and she answered all our questions. This was my husband’s and my first time at the Louvre and we are so glad we paid for the private tour because otherwise we probably would have walked around without a clue of where to go and the importance and significance of the exquisite art and sculptures in this ginormous museum. Thank you so much Fer, you made our honeymoon that much sweeter with giving us a whole new appreciation and understanding of art.

    Our 2 hour private tour with Fernanda was absolutely amazing! She was fun, informative, and relevant. She was extremely knowledgable and pleasant but was not boring and extremely sweet. Two hours went by very quickly and wish I had reserved a 4 hour tour instead! I also loved reserving via Viator. I liked how we were not charged until a few days before and it was a hassle free cancellation policy. The process was very easy and the team were easily accessible. Thank you.

    Emanuelle was absolutely fantastic. Very informative and hit on all the most important facts regarding what we were seeing, and allowed the tour to flow very naturally. Additionally, she showed us some items perhaps not on the regular tour that were of specific interest to my partner and I. Cannot recommend enough if you’re looking for a way to visit the Louvre without sacrificing an entire day, I can’t recommend this enough.
