  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • There are 130 steps to enter the Paris Catacombs and 112 steps to exit.
  • This tour is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
  • The Catacombs are 20 meters/65 feet (and more) underground and the tunnels are narrow in places. This tour is not suitable for those with cardiac or respiratory problems, or suffering from claustrophobia.
  • The tunnels can be slippery and remain at a temperature of around 14°C/57°F, even in summer. Guests are advised to wear sturdy shoes and bring warm clothing.
  • Only 200 visitors are allowed in the tunnels at any one time. If numbers reach a maximum the Catacombs staff reserve the right to hold the entry lines until there is sufficient space. Any delay should not be higher than 5 minutes for our small group
  • Tickets for the Catacombs are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. They must be used with the group at the booked time and their availability is limited. Entry times are also prebooked and are strictly adhered too, we must enter on time. For this reason we are unable to issue refunds to latecomers or no shows for missed tours.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Make sure you skip the line with a tour guide or you will be waiting a long time.
Although it is a bit expensive having someone guide you through the catacombs while explaining the purpose and history helps you understand how and why they were created.
I would recommend using audio assistance with this particular guide.

The experience was informative as well as reverent for all those in their final resting spot. Our guide Remy was very knowledgeable and prepared with lots of information -he also had iPad with pics as well as info downloaded to share and further explain the history.

Our catacombs tour with Memories France was amazing! Only 6 people in our tour. Our guide was very knowledge, friendly, and got us into a few areas off limits to general public. Would absolutely recommend!

Creepy and very interesting! We really enjoyed our trip with Leo. So much history. She pointed out some interesting details in the skulls and bones too. I highly recommend this tour because you get to go places the regular public does not.

Hands down a MUST SEE for history buffs when visiting Paris. This semi private tour was so worth the money. John Edward the British guy (through Memories France) was amazingly informative, friendly, and his stories brought the catacombs brought them to life during our 2hr tour.

Our guide (Avi?) was exceptional. His knowledge of history, and his ability to bring to life to the various stories shared, truly brought the experience to life. This semi-private tour takes you to places not seen or understood, and gives you a different level of understanding of the tremendous effort and tragedy associated with this part of history. I highly recommend investing in this tour!

John brings The Catacombs to life.

I found the Catacombs fascinating. Our guide, John was excellent. His knowledge of the history of Paris and enthusiasm and respect for the people housed there shone through. We had only a small number of people in our tour and in the tunnels with us which was great. One thing which was unrelated to the excellence of the tour I would mention would be the traffic we experienced when catching a taxi to the venue. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time if it’s late afternoon! We agreed this was the best tour we did while in France.

Our tour guide Leo was fantastic! She was so dynamic, lively, intelligent & well informed. She made it such a fun tour & given she is a Cataphile, she had such a love for the Paris underground & respect for the structures and the people that work & explore. Her love of the history was apparent. I would recommend (& have already) this tour to everyone going to Paris. A few of the party I travelled with had not signed up & by the time they wanted to, it was sold out for the month. Given how we raved about the tour, our guide & the cool things at the museum store (it was Halloween week which made it even more special), a few of them wanted to go to the museum store the next day, which we did and we all bought things. Thanks again to Leo; she really made this experience magic. May she always stay safe while exploring.

Outstanding tour. Our tour guide Ave was the best. He made sure the tour was private and that no stragglers tried to join us. This tour was one of the highlights of our visit to Paris. Our guide was extremely knowledge and genuinely loved sharing the history of the Paris catacombs. I can’t emphasize how cool this part of our trip was and wouldn’t visit Paris without visiting. Taking the private tour is the best option as you get to see parts of the catacombs that are unavailable to regular ticket holders. 5 stars indeed !
