I would totally recommend the Skip the Line tour if you are pressed on time and don't want to miss the highlights of the museum.

Expect crowds and stairs

Had a wonderful English guide who truly studied art. Would prefer to see more art and fewer sculptures (having done that in Florence) This tour involves a lot of stairs and rooms are hot. Good instructions on where to meet but could use some signs as there are many guides.

The Louvre is overwhelming, a tour guide can help you with the Must Sees in a few hours. It was great to know the history of the place and the meanings of some of the works of art.

Our tour leader was very kind and considerate of the variety of people on our tour. We had an older couple who struggled with the Louvre's stairs & were slow. We had a group of young women who were often distracted together & not always staying with the group. In fact, I think our tour leader could have been more adamant about people staying together for the sake of the entire group...would have helped her presentation. The content was excellent & our leader was very clear in what she taught us about the art & sculpture we saw. She seemed newer at the job however & altho obviously loved the art concepts and artwork, and knew so much, she was tentative in her delivery, partially distracted no doubt by the HUGE crowds and our peripatetic group! I suspect she will only get more confident & better with time, and I appreciate what she shared with us that day.
Excellent Small Group Tour

Wonderful small group (16) tour with Avi! He was extremely knowledgeable, engaging & entertaining. Having an art historian/expert as our guide made the visit even more memorable. We bypassed the huge line at the pyramid and went straight into the museum via a side entrance. We learned about the history of the building itself, newly found foundations, and the most “famous” statues and paintings, including the Mona Lisa. Highly recommend this very informative tour, especially if you are a first time visitor like us. We would have been overwhelmed doing it by ourselves. If we hadn’t already booked Eiffel tour tickets the same day, we would have stayed to explore more after the tour.

Avi was fantastic. We had a little labor issue to begin with but he kept patient as they opened up an hour late. He is extremely knowledgeable and speaks English and French fluently.
Not really a small group

Not exactly a small group as advertised. I think there were 20 in the group, and that's a large number if people when you try to move through the Lourve. They tell you to arrive early, yet we waited around an extra 15 minutes for the final members of the group to arrive, then additional 10 minutes for a group leaders collegue to join us so they could get in on the group ticket. Should be aware that once the tour is over, you can't go back into the museum because you entered on a " group ticket". We had to ask our tour leader if she could get us into the other portion of the museum. I would go with another company than this one.

Will was a Fabius Tour Guy! His knowledge of the museum and especially the art was amazing. His historical information of pieces of art made the paintings so meaningful! Would definitely go again.
No refunds

There should be a return policy. We traveled from US and left an hour before meet time but due to rain and traffic we could not meet tour guide. (10 min delay) They have a no refunds policy and we had to buy two new tickets just to get in to the Louve. They don’t give you your ticket so you can’t get in unless you go with the group. You either can get there perfectly or you are screwed, there is no in between. I suggest booking tour through Louve directly.

Hi Rhesha! We do allow clients to Cancel and Refund up to 24 hours before the tour start time. I am sorry that you could not make it to the meeting point before the start time of the tour. The tickets for guided tours are completely different from individual tickets. These tickets are time entry and the guide can not risk the whole group not to get inside. We are sorry that you missed out on this tour but I do hope that you had a great time in Paris.

What a wonderful experience we had on our tour! Although I don’t recall our guide’s name, she was amazing and filled us with so many interesting details and facts about the Louvre and the artwork. Ours was the three hour small group tour. This was perfect. Although the museum was very crowded, we felt that we got to see and hear everything easily. We were able to find her when she gave us time to see specific things. We are so glad we had this tour with our amazing guide.

The guide (John) arrived at the meeting place on time. He explained how the particulars of the tour. He guided us through the entry points. It was evident that he has a passion for art and history. He pointed out small details that made the tour very interesting. He guided us though the different exhibits while pointing out the highlights of each. He had background stories for the Venus Di Milo and the Mona Lisa that were great. I highly recommend this tour. If you decide to go it on your own, you will be missing out a wealth of insight. Take the tour.

Our tour guide Celine was fantastic. I couldn’t imagine wandering around by ourselves trying to find things. The early morning tour (8:45) was the only one available so we booked it - we avoided the crowds so we are very glad we did.

Great tour. 8:45 am slot is good because there was not a lot of people yet. Skip the line allowed us to go through the group entrance with less people. Definitely worth the money if you are planning to visit the Louvre. The guide Celina was awesome and very knowledgeable about the art and location. She knew where to take us to avoid traffic. The tour was three hours but you can stay after the tour to look at other things that was not shown on the tour. They give you an audio set where you can listen to the tour guide. Enjoyed this experience.

This was an excellent way to see a very very large museum. We had no trouble meeting our guide at the designated spot. Our guide was very knowledgeable & attentive to individual group member's interests & questions. The tour was 3 hours, and we thought that was long enough to see plenty of art but not tiring. We saw the well known highlights & lots more, & he made the tour very enjoyable & interesting.

Fantastic tour, I feel so enlightened about the Louvre and its history. Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and highlighted on just the right things for the tour. I will be back because the Louvre is so large but now I feel I can navigate it on my own.

Skipping the line was wonderful! And our tour guide l, MaryAnn, was so knowledgeable and experienced. This is a giant museum and can be very daunting. We got to skip all the long lines and learned so much. This is a must do!!
