What To Expect

Make your way to the meeting point near the Eiffel Tower at your chosen departure time. Tours are available at 8:15am and 1:40pm, Tuesday through Sunday. The meeting point address is: TRIP Welcome Center, 41 Avenue de la Bourdonnais, 75007 Paris. 

Travel to the Palace of Versailles in a comfortable tour vehicle, then embark on a tour with your guide and a group of 18 people or fewer. Walk through the palace and learn its history, including the fact that it was home to three of France’s most illustrious Kings for over 100 years. Follow your guide through the Royal Chapel, the State Apartments, and the famous Hall of Mirrors. 

Following your interior tour, spend some free time in the gardens, a 2,000-acre (809-hectare) park filled with fountains, statues, and classic formal garden landscaping. You may even get the chance to see the Musical Gardens show or the Fountains Show. 

Return to your original departure point for drop-off.

Do not miss this tour if you are visiting Paris. Our guide Nicholas was wonderful. Took very good care of us. Was very thorough in his tour commentary. I would visit again. Make sure you use the skip the line feature.

Scam… paid for a small group of 8 or less was grouped with 17 people (everyone agreed they paid for 8 or less) they doubled up all groups for profit and wouldn’t offer a refund or the tour they advertised. We were told ‘go with the 17 or don’t go at all’ completely classless worst Viator experience we’ve ever had

Where did you read that the visit was for 8 or fewer? As far as being completely classless, what is classless? 1. Giving you the possibility to cancel a trip before it starts, at no cost because you consider it does not correspond to what you expected. 2. You telling us that we are a Fraud and that we are scammers. I do not think we have been classless, but rather respectful by giving you the option to cancel before the start. To conclude, thank you very much for raising the group size subject. It is giving us the opportunity to remind people reading your review that the size of the groups for this visit may vary for operational reasons. Though the average size of the groups for this tour is 12. Some guests will be in groups of 8, and some others in groups of 16 (or 17). On the other hand, those who are booking the visit during the low season and end up having a guide just for them are quite happy that we are not canceling the visit even if for us, it means losing money.

the tour was efficient with good information about background, and certain rooms of the palace. We did a half day tour, which was not enough, but this is not the fault of the tour guide nor the company. We knew half day would feel short, but we had kids with us who would not have had the attention span to spend all day there. It was also too cold to spend time in the gardens when we went, but we will plan to do that on our next trip! Tour guide was very knowledgeable!

Our guide, Oliver, was very knowledgeable about Versaille. There were a few rooms that are not typically open to the public that were open during our visit. We saw the king’s chapel which was incredible. Versaille is gorgeous and the tour was very informative.

It is not worth it the money and time

It was cold sunny day, our guide was an HOUR late, we were waited with the bus driver in the cold. So he has to rush the tour in 3 hours including going and coming back Paris. He has not talked much about the history of the site, we basically walk one rooms to another, so we never need to use the ear phone he provided. After that he only gave us 20 mins to see the garden, the garden was one of the main reason we came, the garden was huge and 20 mins was just us taking one or two pictures by the entrance of the garden. We will have to come back the another time for the garden and many other things that was not covered in this tour. It is not worth it for the time and money for this tour. But it is convenient with the bus ride.
