My wife and I had Lester Lam as our guide. He was friendly , kind and very informative .His passion and knowledge of Penang and the different religions ,cultures and lifestyle here really shone through. As there were certain attractions in Georgetown that we wanted to visit tin our own time, he was flexible about where to take us.He also was very open about his own interesting personal history which gave the tour a really personal flavour. We got to see behind the attractions and facades of Georgetown and into the real life stories behind them. Tremendous tour .Thanks Lester. Five stars!

Wonderful Penang

Beautiful Penang. Thanks to Beh (our tour guide) who's professionalism, comfortable manner and comprehensive knowledge gave us a truly wonderful historical and modern-day perspective of the city, in this friendly and welcoming country. We travelled to Penang on a Cruise and rather than take the cruise standard tour we elected to try the more personal approach. This was worth every cent and in the short time span we saw much more, received better information and toured many more venues (for a marginal cost difference). If you get the chance this really is the best way to see the city.

Fantastic Experience in Penang

Great tailored tour of Georgetown

We booked a private tour and had Max as our guide. He was great and tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted. He was very knowledgeable about the temples, clan houses and street art. He showed us some great places to eat, drink and made sure the tour was at our pace. Max was great, nothing was too much trouble and he was friendly and professional. A great experience.

The Best in Penang

We had a super tour with our guide Sam and driver Kris. To be honest when we met them it was like meeting two old friends that were showing us round their town. Sam introduced us to his friends as we went round Penang, people he went to church with and people whom he had worked with, like the doorman at the E & O Hotel where we breezed in to look round as easily as we would had we been staying there. Sam bought us little bits of street food, which we probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. At the end of the tour he showed us where we could get a typical Malaysian lunch and helped us to change sufficient money in order to buy lunch. And, of course he was an excellent guide and very knowlegable. Kris was a very experienced driver adding his own little bits of humour into the tour too and I never had to open the car door once as he was on it like a shot the minute we pulled up anywhere. I would highly recommend this tour. I know we had a better time doing this tour with Sam and Kris than the people on our ship who bought the ship's excursion. It was a pleasure. Thank you.
