What To Expect

Your cruise starts in central Perth, where you board your boat and set off down the Swan River, catching sight of landmarks like the Bell Tower, the old Swan Brewery building, Kings Park, and the Royal Perth Yacht Club. Float past the city’s upscale suburbs to admire waterfront homes, and take in the bustling inner harbor of Fremantle, a historical port city on the other side of the river.

Line up early!

Recommended getting to the line super early (we were 10 minutes early and we were still behind two or three tour buses). Seating is first come first served and upstairs we were packed in like sardines for the first half of the trip. Seems silly that downstairs has seats available but because we weren’t dining we had to all squish upstairs. Luckily the second leg of the trip was much more spaced out as some people got off.

The skipper was very entertaining, we were lucky enough to see dolphins in the river. The boat was very comftable and staff very helpful and friendly. We had 3 hours in freo which was fantastic explored the round house, markets and gage house for a beer!!😍

Rain affected trip

Sadly the weather was not kind to us on the day and this meant that visibility of waterfront and areas of interest were reduced. Staff were very welcoming and the vessel was clean and tidy. Found it very difficult to hear the commentary over the general passenger noise, this could have made a significant improvement of our enjoyment of the cruise. However, instead we met and chatted with another Australian couple visiting from Queensland.

Worth the trip but be prepared for not a lot of options of where to sit and very slow boarding process

We booked the Sunday river cruise and there weren't seats on the upper level so we had to seat on the lower level which is reserved for lunch packages. We got our upper level seats when the ship arrived at Fremantle. It could have been better if the number of passengers is managed properly.

Easy cruise. Relaxing and smooth. Could not hear the commentary at all as poor PA System very muffled. The TV Monitors kept going off line so could not even refer to the screens…

Took this as solo river trip , and enjoyed very much , regretted not including lunch in my booking

None really. I can compare it to our Sorrento to Queensclip trip for a more reasonable price. Even still the boat ride from Circular Quay to Manly was a much more memorable boat ride compared to the Swan River scenic cruise.
