Fabulous driver and fantastic day

Azimut arrived on time. He listened to what we wanted and formulated a plan for the day. He was informative and interesting. We asked Azimut to take us to a place where we could have an authentic Thai lunch and invited him to join us. His vehicle was clean and very comfortable. This is the second time I have used my Viator to set up a tour, and I am very impressed. I knew I had paid for a Phuket city tour with a private driver, and I had no idea what to expect. When our guide, Tan, showed up he had all kinds of options for where to go and recommendations and everything was just perfect. We first went to the old town where the driver said how long do you want to walk through it and we said 45 minutes, and we easily could’ve explored for two hours, as the streets with shops and people and restaurants were culturally fascinating. Following our 45 minute visit to the old town we went to Wat Chalong Temple, A beautiful walking exploration of 5 different Buddhist temples. Following Wat Chalong, we went to Big Buddha, a major tourist attraction and absolutely worth going to!! Here we had coconut milk and jelly, a magnificent view at the top of hill mountain over the city, and this magical statue as a tribute to Buddha. We got to meditate and even saw a bunch of monkeys, which was an added attraction. After these two places I was very interested in seeing the Kata ocean area, and we took a long drive up the coast. We went through a bunch of different little townships, each one quite different than the next. The drive along the ocean was beautiful and quite fascinating. We returned back to our hotel around 530, and were totally pleased with our very full day. The tour was wonderful and so was our driver and I recommend it highly if you want to explore the Phuket region and temples of the Thai people.

We were disappointed with the tour because I had specifically requested a vehicle with air conditioning. At the hotel after boarding a van with excellent air conditioning, we were met at the gate of the property and asked to move into a mother vehicle with a different driver. This van had faulty air conditioning and we did most of the 6 hour tour with little to no a/c. The driver was fine and apologetic but it made our experience nearly unbearable. We are not from a climate with such heat and high humidity which was why we specifically addressed this issue when making the reservation. I was not happy about being moved from the first vehicle without explanation and then the greater problem of the lack of cool air for our entire tour. Would be careful about using your services again.

Driver was not at the place to pick us at the place and time fixed by himself. We have to search the whole parking area to look for him, at the end we had to borrow handphone from a local and call the agency customer service to inform the driver. We waited for about 45 mins.

Great service with pickup at 0700. Went to big Buddha and Wat Chalong and back to our resort. That took 3.5 hours, so we ended the tour a little early. Driver very attentive and helpful. There was a laminated book you could use to communicate if needed.

It was very convenient to have a private driver and we enjoyed the flexibility it provided. We had researched and made a list of what we wanted to see but were also open to suggestions from the driver. Unfortunately he spoke very little English so communicating was difficult and we stuck to our list! He was very polite, though, and the operator was great to work/communicate with.
