We pick up from any hotel on the island of Phuket. You will receive the correct pick-up time from your hotel the day before the trip. Pickup from hotels outside of Kata, Karon, Tritrang, Patong, Kalim, Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao, Laguna has an extra charge of 1 x 400 THB per person, to pay cash to the guide

We had an amazing day! We had time to stop and visit different farm areas, try different foods, get photos, and had a great lunch and swam at a beautiful beach. We learned a lot about the island and its history. It was hot but we stopped often to get cold drinks and never ran out of water, and weren't in a rush which was good because I was slow on the more hilly areas at the end. Our guide Armin was extremely nice and passionate about the island, we couldn't have asked for a better guide. Overall I would definitely do this again and it was a big highlight for everyone on our trip.

Great way to experience a small island in Thailand

The bike trip to Yao was great. It is the hottest time of year to go so that increased the difficulty of it. 31 degrees was a challenge but they provide as much water as you need along the way. The boat ride there and back is 50 minutes so prepare yourself for that but it is fun to experience a long boat on the ocean. The pace is what you make it, some people go fast some slow but the hill is something to walk. The ground made it very difficult to ride up. Lunch was in a lovely spot and a nice break. I would highly recommend this tour of you like to bike.

We often use a longtail boat indeed to go to and from the island, your island experience starts the moment you step on the boat. On the hill just before the midday break, it is better to walk indeed. The trail is shaded and we always take it easy, there is no reason to hurry. Thanks for the recommendation!

Had a great day cycling round Yao. A few interesting stops, a good lunch, a nice (leisurely) bike ride - and definitely things I wouldn't have seen or done on my own. Everything from pick up at my hotel, to boat transfers, to bikes and routes was well organised. Our guide Armeen was a total star all day - nothing too much trouble, and it was so obvious he loves doing this trip. If you're lucky you'll get to join him too! If you're in Phuket and looking for something different to do, that gets you out into the countryside and introduces you to some wonderful local people and things then I suggest you do this!

I was the only person to sign up for the trip, so I had a private tour with Arneen, which was excellent. He is a very experienced biker and is very knowledgable about the island and its culture. We biked through farms and on roads. The picnic on the beach was delicious and relaxing, even with the pouring rain. We stopped for fresh coconut water and a custard treat at a small farm. I really felt I got a feel for this island. Arneen made me feel safe and comfortable every step of the way. I really enjoyed this tour and will recommend it to all my friends who come to visit.

This was a great easy going bike trip, there was some off trail routes but the guide communicated really well before it got challenging, i.e. from flat road surface to gravel/mountain bike trail. The guide (local) was very informative and his attention to detail of the route was spot on, e.g. the types of fruit grown on the island, the economics of Thailand and growing and selling fruits and vegetables amongst other areas of Thailand. He (the guide) made the tour fun and easy going. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip as it’s easy going i.e. family friendly; the bikes are well maintained (as a avid cyclist this makes the difference!); and the guides, for me, were easy to get along with. One issue, which can be easily tidied up for future bookings - the Viator booking page states pick up is at 09:30, but the company emailed the night before stating pick up would be at 07:30. Unfortunately the couple in the group didn’t check their email, through no fault of their own, and found out pickup for them was at 07:00. My recommendation would be for the company to make pick up times clear on their booking webpages. Other than that I would say book with this company as they provide a fun day out. P.S - don’t forget to tip along the way as so many Thai people have been affected for the pandemic and are already on low wages compared to Westerners that travel to Thailand. I approached Thailand this time with a overtipping and no haggling mindset given the low tourism numbers affecting the country. Even an extra 100 bhat goes a long way and helps the Thai people recover.

This bike tour was a fantastic way to see some of Thailand away from the tourist crowds. I did it with two girlfriends and we loved it - right from the boat across, the local food and taste of rural life to the cycling and swimming location. It was good to feel physically challenged with the bike riding and you finished feeling totally satisfied. Really great hosts and love their concept of supporting local businesses in every part of their operations. I would highly recommend!
