We had so much fun. The staff was great, they were very attentive and friendly. The activity was relaxing and fun. You can stay on the catamaran if you want to, or go into the water, which meant we could relax on board once we were tired of the water. I would definitely do it again and would recommend.

The crew was super great, very likable, friendly and plenty of drinks! The food portion was kinda small and I wasn’t really a fan of it. Also we didn’t get on the boat until after 1p. Definitely an experience I would recommend as long as I knew what to expect. Just be prepared to wait in the beginning, be a lil hungry, but at least have a solid buzz on the beautiful catamaran and sea!

Pros: 1. Guide and crew/staff were very friendly and accommodating. 2. Food was very good 3. Drinks were good and available 4. Snorkel / free time was good 5. Reef had nice coral (purple leaves) Middle of road: fish were decent, some Angel fish, yellow and black, red and silver fish. Ok overall. Cons: 1. Pretty significant delay of departure and return-over an hour and 15 minutes on both ends. 2. Snorkel mask let a lot of water in, so had to hold nose.

Good excursion despite deceptive advertising

Yesterday I did this excursion with Cancun Adventures and I have quite a few callouts. First, I wish I had read the customer reviews prior to booking, but I did not and that’s my own fault. Like many upset customers have mentioned, we were picked up at Super Aki (not our hotel) at 11:30, and didn’t get on the boat until after 1, despite the advertised 11am start time. There were 3 additional pickups and drop offs along the way to the boat, which was docked 45 minutes north of Tulum. We didn’t get dropped back off at Super Aki until 6:30pm. As many other customers called out, this excursion does NOT take place in Tulum, and the boat sailed even further north, nearly to Playa del Carmen to snorkel (images of the map locations attached of the boat dock and sailing area). The sailing trip itself was actually quite nice. I’ve been going on group sailboat excursions 1 to 2 times per year for the past 20+ years around the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico and Thailand, so I have a lot of similar excursions to compare this to. Good music, decent facilities, attentive staff, and one of the better meals I’ve seen offered on a boat excursion. The boat was definitely full of other tourists. but not overly so. I didn’t participate in the snorkeling, but my mom did and she said it was mediocre. She only saw a few fish and nothing impressive, but I obviously understand you can’t fully control what sea life you come across as it’s in the wild. What really earned this review 2 stars was the deception of the advertised excursion (false start time, hotel pickup and drop off which was not the case, and Tulum location). Additionally, our driver Jesus was incredibly rude and inconsiderate. Finally, the most infuriating part of the whole experience was reading the company replies to customer reviews. As someone who works in customer service, I could not be more appalled by some of the responses left by the company (examples attached here). No accountability or empathy, only blaming frustrated customers for their disappointing experiences. I would not have booked this trip for this reason alone as I prefer to spend my money with kind people and honest companies. If it weren’t for all of the above mentioned issues, this excursion would earn a solid 4 stars. Hope you find this review helpful!

Thank you for your words!! This is the closest place to Tulum for Sailing, pick ups start at 11 am and in a regular tour, pick more people up and drop them off is normal. Snorkeling is included, but the main activity is Sailing. Tulum is growing incredibly fast, that's why we have meeting points (it is specified on the confirmations we send), because if we visit every single Hotel, Condo and Airbnb for picking up people, it would take around 4 hours just in the transportation.

We enjoyed this experience but wish the weather was nicer. I think this trip should get canceled when it’s colder and rainy since the ocean was rough and many people got very sick. Also the water temperature was colder than usual and some people didn’t go in. The food was ok. The crew was amazing!

The crew was fantastic, both on the boat and drivers! They were all very accommodating, friendly and helpful. 5 stars to them alone. Lunch was delicious. Drinks were aplenty. The boat was great size for the amount of people there. (Approx 25) Everyone had ample space and looked like they had a great time. The area we went to for snorkeling was great. I wish it was longer because I could have gone snorkeling for hours. Lots of fish, coral and a manta ray. Great day ended with many tequila pours! 🥳

We booked this trip for a girls trip and it was amazing! They let us know ahead of time they would be picking us up at 12:00 instead of 11:00, but the pickup, drop off and check in was seamless! The boat cruise was great and the snorkeling was absolutely phenomenal! We saw huge sting rays, a beautiful seat turtle, and a huge bright green eel, not to mention schools of fish! The food and drinks were delightful and the crew was fantastic! Highly recommend!!

Actually we never confirmed nor cancelled in the last minute, unfortunately, the day you picked was sold out, we offered you to go in a different day but you didn't answer messages nor calls. Normally our Luxury Sailing Experience is full and it's necessary to book it with at least 3 days notice.

When booking, we were given the option to be picked up at our specific airbnb. Our airbnb's specific name was available to choose from the drop down list. Yet after the tickets were purchased, we were told that that wasn't available. So we had to spend an extra $100 USD on a taxi to take us 10 minutes down the street. When we got to that location, the driver was 10-15 minutes late. After the extra stops for other pickups, we only got on the boat 2 hours later, around 1pm for a tour that was advertised to start at 11am.

Thank you for your words. The Pick Ups for the Luxury Sailing Experience starts around 11 am. For all the Airbnbs in Tulum we have meeting points and that it is specified on the confirmation we send, it is a shame you didn't read or decided to forget particularly that part. Next time, if you don't want to wait for the driver or if you don't want to do "extra stops", you always have the option to book a Private Tour, you just need to guarantee 25 spots and to let us know with at least one month anticipation, because we are all booked already.

If you want lobster, almas caviar, wagyu meat, matsutake mushrooms or something similar, we have different experiences, of course, much more than 130 USD per person. Just let us know with enough time, because normally we are over booked with that kind of experiences.

The staff was great and very helpful with everything, they kept it light and fun all day. Luis was full of life. Boat was bit full but balanced out on te way back as people were more spread out. Wish we would of bring cash for a tip,so make sure you do because they are worth it.

Went this past Friday, had a great time. Picked us up from the Super Aki in Tulum and dropped us off. Crew were friendly, I believe his name was Gas or Gus, he was entertaining. Food was good and the shots kept coming! Snorkeling equipment provided, paddle board and a floating mat. I'm glad I took this excursion, my whole party enjoyed themselves. Thanks!
