You don’t want to miss this!
Rebecca_Y, Aug 2023
This was truly enjoyable and an opportunity I am so glad I didn’t miss. It’s mind blowing that an underwater cave system this large was not fully discovered until 2006! Jared was an excellent tour guide! He paid attention to our comfort level, welcomed questions and answered them well. He clearly has a respect and enthusiasm for this wonder of nature and it came across in his tour.
Loved our tour guide. Very cool experience!

We got lucky with our tour guide. I can’t remember how to spell her name.. Manitel I think, but she was amazing! She was hilarious and made it special. We all had a great time on this small, intimate tour. I like that they keep the tours to about 10 people. There are several routes within the caves. We did “Enchanted” and loved it. It was also very cool to learn the history and the spiritual component of the caves and the meaning to the Mayans. Highly recommend!
Nice to see but extremely greedy company. Will not support them again.

Extremely overpriced, especially considering the average salaries in the region. They charge $90 USD per person to visit 1 of the 5 caves, yet the van that takes you from the reception to the caves on a dirt road, which carries up to 12 people (= $1080) has a sign asking for tips. The sign says their only income comes from tips since they don't get paid by the company. The company is so greedy that they do not allow you to enter with a camera, and they don't let you take pictures or video, but they will take photos of you and charge $25 for ONE print, or $180 for the package of photos they shot. They tell you you can't take your camera with you because you need to have your hands free for safety (which is absolutely true, and I get it), however, they will not allow you to take your GoPro camera strapped to your chest and have it continuously shooting, or attached to your helmet (so you don't have to use your hands at all during the tour), which makes you wonder about their true intentions on not allowing you to take your camera with you even when you don't have to hold it with your hands. Lunch was served and it was OK, but the street food we tried in Tulum was way better. Variety is VERY limited for the food as well as for the drinks. Really, for the $90/pp you pay, lunch would have cost no more than $5-8 in Tulum. It seems like a highly profitable business to me, yet they are not paying their drivers? That being said, our tour guide was very nice. However, despite you selecting your language, they mix people from different languages to optimize their profits so, half of the time during the tour I had to listen to the same explanation in a different language since the guide had to explain everything twice for everyone in the group to understand. Again, another sign of the greediness of the company to build profit, instead of creating the best experience for this expensive activity. Also, be mindful that when you sign the documents upon arrival, you are giving them the right to use your pictures as promotional/marketing material. So, smile because you may be appearing anywhere on the web. I will definitely not support them when I go back to the area unless they change their operating model.

Was a great tour close to Playa Del Carmen. Stephanie was a great guide and went really smooth. Not a fan of the buffet lunch. So I would skip that part.
Great tour! Fun and knowledgeable!

The transportation from the port (Playa del Carmen) was smooth. Our guide Marite was wonderful and by the end of the tour I felt like she was a member of the family. 100% recommend this to others visiting Cozumel, Cancun or Playa del Carmen!
Wonderful experience!

This tour was amazing. We loved our guide Alfredo, he was very informative and passionate about the Caves. We did have trouble booking on the rio secreto website which is why we used viator. They have other tour options. This is the classic tour and the shortest. About 2 hours Other tour options include hiking, biking, rappelling.
