This was a wonderful tour, my husband and I loved everything about it! The hotel pickup was prompt, then we went to Tulum which was breathtaking (wish we had more time there). We were then taken to the private cenote on the company's property and given a buffet lunch which was pretty good. Then we were driven to Coba, about an hour or two away. The tour guides were professional and spoke phenomenal English and Spanish. We especially liked our tour guide Tanya, who was with us most of the trip. The tour then dropped us off at our hotel about 10 or 11 hours after we were picked up. I would recommend this tour for anyone that likes archaeology and wants to see a lot of amazing places in one day. Great tour, great tour guides/ staff!

Great tour

Great tour! Celene, our tour guide, was wonderful and informative. I would recommend this tour. The only thing is the tour included a lot of driving which was long and tedious.
Our 2nd disorganised sales pitch with tour afterthought!
Edward_H, Feb 2022
The morning pick up, getting your wristbands and getting on your coach is very disorganised and long winded. It took 2 hours before we even left Playa del Carmen. There are lots of sales pitches to try and squeeze as much money as possible from you and the prices are ridiculous for these things, especially at the glass factory and chocolate tour. The glass was cheaper to buy in the shops in town than at the actual factory, Exactly the same with the chocolate tour. Which was all fake plastic props, $14 for 1 bar of chocolate, the exact same bars were at the airport for $5. The buffet food was cold and the drinks expensive. When we got there we found that there were no tables free. Once a table became free the group my partner and I were in were all sat down and we were both forgotten about and had to find our own place to sit elsewhere. What I also found disappointing was the lack of time you get at each place. We had 30mins at Tulum. It wasn't enough time. And it was the same at Coba, we had to rush around and run at parts rather than enjoy it. This was our second tour with them in the space of a few days and we were completely let down and feel that we didn't get what we paid for in either trip. My advise is to avoid them completely.
Tulum and Muyil... a perfect pair
Jennifer_S, Feb 2022
Visiting the Mayan ruins... Coba was closed. However, our tour added Muyil in its place. When we arrived, there were no other tours there, making the experience even more special. Even though Coba, the ruin, was not available for viewing, we had lunch in the town of Coba, bringing much needed tourist money to the community - which, I felt, was much appreciated. The tour guide was excellent. And we were on a small van, not a big bus tour! I highly recommend this tour.
Really great experience!

Due to covid, there had to be a lot of adjusting of the shuttle service. We ended up driving more than seeing the sites. It felt very disorganized but the tour guide tried to keep us as informed as possible. We loved going to the cenote and the Tulum. Coba was cancelled on us. We were not told of this upon booking. Our concierge had to tell us to ask about the cancellation. We did get a partial refund though but there was poor communication leading up to the tour.
May be a little more prepared.

Well knowledgeable on the topics and very friendly. The crew alway has time to answer your questions.
Long Day
Missy, May 2021
Our visit to Tulum, Coba and cenote was great. The swim in the cenote was so refreshing after a hot day visiting beautiful Tulum and impressive Coba. Lunch was a buffet with plenty of options. Drinks were not included. Our day was 13 hours long, way over what was advertised on Viator's site. This was not an issue for us, but just be aware in case you have dinner plans. Panama, our driver, and guides Rhett and Alfredo were awesome!
Overall it was a good tour except for unnecessary stops
Ann_F, Apr 2021
Pros: - On time pick up - Transportation was comfortable -Tour guides were nice and knowledgeable (Jesus and Victor) Cons: - On our particular trip (4/13) our first tour guide lacked communication skills. He didn’t inform everyone in the group to follow another tour guide while he picked up the tickets. He left his group of 9 people in the store where we picked up our free water bottle and used the restrooms before entering the Tulum ruins. We waited in the store for half an hour not knowing what was happening until some other tour guide fetched us. Wasted some time. **Inside the Tulum Ruins we met up with a better tour guide Jesus (he was nice, talkative and knowledgeable. Viktor came at the end and was also helpful) -Another waste of time and was not in the itinerary when booking the tour was a stop at a souvenir shop at the end which made the entire tour a longer day. Sure there was free tequila tasting, a showroom on how they make glass and chocolate but if you have dinner plans after, then plan a later time like after 8pm or so. Expect a looooooong day
Good experience

Wonderful Day Trip to Coba, Tulum, and Private Cenote!

Great way to spend the day
Marthe_A, Mar 2020
The tour was a great way to spend the day and the perfect taste of a variety of activities and sights. I only dropped a star as there was an error with our pick-up time and we arrived an hour earlier for the pick-up then we were supposed to. Simple error and it really didn't hinder the day in anyway. The Cenotes was certainly a highlight! It is perfectly placed in the middle of the day so you can cool off and are refreshed for the final stop at Coba which was also fantastic. Riding the bikes were a blast and the view from the top of the pyramid was worth the walk up. I 100% suggest wearing proper shoes and ideally some with a good grip as the steps were quite slippery which may be a bit sketchy for the descent. All in all, we had a great day! Tito, Caesar and Dania (I hope I spelled your names correctly) were wonderful and very friendly. What a great team!
Average at best
Jonathon_S, Feb 2020
Not what we expected. It wasnt terrible but spent a lot of time waiting for things with no one saying any reason for any or any explanation. Spent a total over the day of close to 2 hours.Would be nice to know why we are waiting in this line or on the bus. One of our drivers on the small bus drove 115 km in a 80 zone at one point so also not great and the ac did not workbut the main tour bus was good. Overall cool sights but too little time to enjoy and the guides were average at best. They do not give much info and could do a lot more. At the main location where you board the buses the washrooms were very poor and the lunch was lacking. Very basic and not tasty. No water included with lunch ao bring lots with you.
Terrific

A great and full day of sites. come prepared with towel and such for cenote swim. Timely pickup and friendly staff. Had a great time and good to have it (entry tickets et al) all taken care of
Good
konyshau, Feb 2020
Overall excellent. But transportation takes a very long time, several transfers to different buses..
Great tour
ggamogamo, Feb 2020
The staff was friendly, the logistics kept the whole tour moving, and we had just enough time at each spot. This is a great way to see and do a lot of cool things and still be back for dinner.
No worries!
