This was absolutely one of the most informative and enjoyable things we have done in far North Queensland. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. Our guide Mark was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. We were fortunate enough to see newly hatched crocs, a small year old croc, pythons, nesting river birds and more on this relaxing meander along the Daintree. Really was fantastic.

Sandra_C, May 2023
A wonderful tour guide answered every question thrown at him with great knowledge and detail in the answers. Saw lots of crocodile and bird life. Very quite peaceful cruise.
Would highly recommend this cruise to everyone

The history behind every crocodile including names and characteristics of the crocodiles made the cruise so much more interesting

Not the best time of day or year
Amy_H, May 2023
Very disappointed with our experience. We did not get to see much of any crocodiles, just a few bits of heads. The guide said several times that we were not there at the best time of day or time of year...yet said absolutely nothing when we booked the tour. Said we could come back on the boat again if we were dissatisfied but did not have time. Would have preferred a refund.
Response from Host, May 2023
Well Amy what can I say, it’s the wild not a zoo? And you actually saw wild crocs doing what wild crocs do ? So I guess you’re the “glass half empty kind of person?” Crocs are often in the water that’s their home, there’s nothing we can do about that. And yes we offer free return cruises as we are aware that wildlife can be unpredictable and we do our best to accommodate for that. One cruise they may be in the bank the next in the water it’s a totally natural experience and changes cruise to cruise day to day. So I’m Sorry but you came on the boat , saw some wild crocs and had a full commentary and got to travel on the beautiful Daintree river with majestic views and were allowed to come again for free. I think we have been more than fair. You go to a movie and you don’t get a refund because you don’t like the movie ! Perhaps next time you want to view wildlife it’s best you don’t do it in the wild but go to a zoo. Have a great day.
Highly recommended

I had a really nice experience with this activity. It was worth every single penny I spent. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for some fun and adventure. The guide was superb and very helpful throughout the whole process.
Not good for mobility issues
Debbie_D, Apr 2023
The information said this boat was wheelchair accessible. Both my parents walk with walking sticks. They struggled with the steep ramp and definitely were challenged (and had to be helped by other people on the tour) to get on and off the boat which had a three big steps. The information also said there was an underwater screen - there wasn’t. And it said there would be tea and coffee provided - it wasn’t. The tour was good - we got close to several crocodiles and tour guide was very knowledgeable. But I was disappointed it didn’t have the mobility accessibility promised.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Thank you for your review and I am sorry to hear that you found the access difficult. You must have an old brochure as we don’t advertise tea and coffee anywhere anymore , however I understand there are old brochures still around . There is tea and coffee it is there if you want it so perhaps the ticket person was not aware, you need to ask them for it now. I am sorry about the ramp , we do frequently have people in wheel chairs come on tour and they use this ramp, I am not sure what I can say any differently about the ramp. It has a railing on both sides of it . There are 2 steps onto the boat and I thought that it was clear , again I can’t do anything about the steps . Most often People with mobility issues call us and we do all we can to accommodate them and explain there will be a ramp and two steps. So I am not sure what went wrong when you made the booking or why the ticket person didn’t explain this. Unfortunately though we understand it was most difficult for your parents we are unable to make any adjustments, we will just make sure it’s more clear when people book . Thanks for making us aware of this issue. Very glad to hear you still enjoyed your tour.
Saw lots of crocodiles...

Saw lots of crocodiles including the biggest male Scarface. Nice extra having ladrodoodle Doug on the boat with us.

Great Experience
Clare_W, Mar 2023
Had a wonderful time with friends who were visiting from UK, it was their first trip to Australia and our first to Queensland. The boat trip was relaxing with beautiful stunning scenery and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable not only regarding the crocodiles but other wildlife and ecology of the area. We managed to see two adult and two baby crocodiles in their natural habitat. Great trip and throughly recommend it.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
So happy you enjoyed your time with us and found the trip relaxing. Wonderful that you saw some crocs in the wild. Kind regards David and Marc

Very informative and calm boat ride along the Daintree river. We saw a few crocodiles and other river wildlife, really enjoyed our experience, especially hearing about the different crocodiles, their names and lives! Highly recommend!
Response from Host, Apr 2023

An awesome family experience!
Catherine_L, Mar 2023
We had a fantastic cruise on the Daintree River seeing some crocs and other local wildlife with a very informative guide. The tour is very respectful of the environment and the on board screen allows you to see the animals up close without invading their space.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
So glad that your family enjoyed your time with us on the beautiful Daintree river. Kind regards David and Marc
Nice little tour
Amanda_P, Feb 2023
We loved this, short ride through the river with lots of info. Its really fun spotting hidden crocs!
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Thank you for your review, glad you enjoyed your cruise. Cheers
Beautiful but we went at the wrong time
Patrick_M, Jan 2023
Amazing tour guide, amazing scenery but we went when the river was in flood so only saw 2 baby crocs.
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Thanks for your review, at this time of year when the water is the larger crocodiles spend much of their time underwater whether it is flooding or not. It is more difficult when the river is in flood so we were lucky to see some baby crocs.
The best croc tour in town
Brittany_K, Jan 2023
A wonderful tour with an abundance of wildlife! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the solar boat was so quiet, making it easy to spot crocodiles and other small amphibians. Highly recommend!
Was an amazing experience...
Chelsie_R, Dec 2022
Was an amazing experience saw a large croc and a baby one including other wildlife such frogs and birds. Loved our tour guide his wealth of knowledge was great, I can’t remember his name but he brought his little cute dog along for the tour.
was great time saw lumpy...
Luke_H, Dec 2022
was great time saw lumpy chilling in the river, awesome and kind driver. Peppa (the boat dog) made the trip even more enjoyable
Could not spot grown up Crocodiles
Sachin_S, Nov 2022
The boat trip itself was nice and fu, the captain was friendly, humorous and well versed at what he is as doing. But well we did not come all the way here for a pleasant boat trip. We were there to see crocodiles, especially when the your name has “Daintree river crocodile cruise” in it, and has a real large crocodiles picture on it, we expect to see a crocodiles. Sadly we only saw baby crocodiles (one feet long). PS. Even though this is not fault of the operator (crocodiles come out when it is cooler) operator could have set the expectation while booking itself and not at the venue just before boarding.
Would love to do it again!!
john_s, Nov 2022
Was brilliant. Wrong time off year however tour guide did his best and stayed out a bit longer and just when I had given up hope he found us a big croc and got right up beside it for pics
