What To Expect

Explore the outer reaches of the Great Barrier Reef with this full-day adventure to Agincourt Reef, which sits at the edge of the Continental Shelf. After pickup from your Port Douglas hotel, board a comfortable 95-foot (29-meter) catamaran and settle in among the inside cabin seats or sun decks for the scenic ride out to the reef.

Throughout the day, visit three renowned dive sites that the cruise has exclusive access to, and customize your adventure with different options for exploring the reef. If you prefer to stay close to the surface, splash into the clear waters with provided snorkeling equipment and either snorkel on your own or join a guided tour. Or, go even deeper with a scuba experience. Beginning divers can try an introductory dive, and those with scuba certification can embark on up to three certified dives.

No matter what you choose, you’ll get an up-close perspective on the spectacular ribbon reef teaming with an array of marine life such as schools of tropical fish, small reef sharks, massive coral formations and giant clams weighing up to 440 pounds (200 kg)!

When you come to the surface, recharge with a delicious buffet lunch on board, and break for morning and afternoon tea. Grab a drink from the fully licensed bar if you’d like something stronger (own expense), and stay comfortable with facilities including restrooms and freshwater showers. After approximately 5 hours at the reef, relax and soak up views of the Coral Sea on the return trip to Port Douglas.

Minimum age for introductory scuba diving is 12 years. All diving participants will be required to complete a health questionaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
After a single dive, a wait of 12 hours is recommended before flying. If doing multiple dives, an interval of 24 hours is recommended.

Great cruise but don’t book through Viator

This cruise liner was absolutely wonderful. Viator on the other hand not so understandable. I messaged them the day before as I had vomiting and diarrhoea to see what I could do about my tour. I asked to postpone it to another day within the week but apparently had no bookings. I then asked for a refund but couldn’t do that as it was passed the cut off time for me to cancel - so I had to go!!! Well I was vomiting for the whole trip. Didn’t enjoy it one bit. The staff on the liner were very helpful and caring and would look out for me as best they could. Couldn’t fault them at all. Viator on the other hand you need to be more sympathetic and be more understanding to people that genuinely, unwell and give them their money back. Hope I didn’t infect anyone on that tour because if I did then it’s on you Viator!!!! Won’t be booking through you again either.

Fantastic experience. Haven’t dove in a while so it was nice to have all the gear already setup. Views were beautiful. Lunch was pretty decent as well. Entire trip would have been worth it just to see the reef. 10/10 recommend

Beautiful reef sites

The three sites we visited were all so beautiful and diverse. The water at the sites was relatively shallow and clear making it very easy to see the amazing colors of the coral and so many colorful fish. Staff was very friendly and made sure everyone stayed safe even in the difficult weather we had.

It was like swimming in an endless tropical fish tank! So many varieties of beautiful fish and the coral was amazing, seeing a turtle was a highlight! Crew were all friendly and Jeff was a great instructor for our first diving experience. Ride was smooth and food was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend!

staff were very caring, the service was of high standard, safety was taken seriously, My only issue was the camera that was hired from the boat by a guy named Michell, was faulty, the battery got flat at the first site, then it would not record, it was a big inconvenience, my recommendation is don't bother renting their cameras, is not worth the hassle of carrying a faulty piece of equipment. When I complained to the office, the lady told me that it was a different company, so not much could be done. please stop renting defective equipment , the 25 dollars that I got back was not worth the hassle.

My husband and I traveled from Los Angeles to Cairns with the main purpose of snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef. Before coming here, I searched a lot of related services on the website and finally selected this company based on the reviews of Tripadvisor. Their service far exceeded our expectations, value for money, every crew member is very helpful and very knowledgeable. The whole trip is compact and efficient, the most important thing is to snorkeling in three different locations and see the most beautiful coral reefs and a variety of beautiful fish. Comparing the Caribbean and Hawaii we have been to, this is the best.

The whole experience start to finish was a very well-organized operation. The crew was knowledgeable, customer service was amazing, the boat was great and everything was on time, meals were way better than expected, and the crown jewel was obviously getting to dive the Great Barrier Reef. Did the 3 certified dives with dive master Gordon and really really enjoyed the whole thing start to finish. I was a little nervous as a less experienced diver but Gordon looked out for me and my buddy and made sure we were comfortable and diving within our limits while having a once in a lifetime experience of diving the GBR. Highly recommend!!!
