What fun! Thank you Teresa for a great tour. We enjoyed the stories and evening walk. Caught a picture of an orb in the yellow looking building. And if you look at the double doors in the other two photos you will see a face in one and not the other picture of the same door.

Hello, we're very sorry that you didn't like the tour. We are always trying for the general public to relax, unwind and learn some of the stories passed down in centuries during this short walk through the Old Town. The tour is called Ghosts and Legends, and does not position itself as a history tour. If you want an insight into the history of Prague, we recommend checking out our other tours, such as World War II and Anthropoid Tour, or Alchemy and Mysteries of Prague Castle Tour.

Met up with a group of around 20 people for a 90 minute ghost walk round the Old city of Prague - the walk was not scary, but was very interesting and informative plus the guide was hilarious

For an old city - I expected more ghost stories. The few told we’re interesting but felt more historical than haunts. Guide was nice and funny.

David was interesting, entertaining, and engaging. The content was a bit scripted, but David spiced it up by adding some historical facts to the mix. It was a fun way to spend the night in Prague.

Disappointing for a first night in Prague. Gives the impression there is nothing interesting in the city and they are trying to devise something to keep the ignorant tourist happy. To explain: Not much relevant information by the guide. Lots of irrelevant picture showing (e.g. machines constructed in Britain to supposedly locate ghosts). Historically incorrect and misleading information (sounded like he had confused Jan Hus and Jan Mydlář). Aiming to impress, not inform. Descriptions of imaginary events (like amputation as a form of saving a seriously injured person's life) in the light of his own grasp of them (torture by evil doctors and nurses). Generally the guide sounded as if he had followed a few other tours, picked up fragments of information and added a lot of personal imagination and views to fill in the blanks, aiming only to offer his view of what would be a gruesome picture. Polite and friendly, though. That's why the star.

Hello Anna, we are sorry to hear that you didn't like the tour. Our guides are trained professionals, their training takes months before they go on their first tour, and they absolutely cannot make up imaginary events or facts. They follow the real events and thoroughly curated, trusted source material prepared for them. I'm sorry that you believe one can confuse Hus and Mydlář, we don't even mention Jan Hus in the tour though, as well as that you don't think amputation could save a person's life. Before the discovery of penicillin, this was most of the times the only solution to an infected limb. Solution did not guarantee survival. You state that the guide wasn't rude or unfriendly, so clearly he did his job well. As I also would like to point out, the tour is called Ghosts AND Legends, not Introduction to History of the City, and legends are stories that are told generation by generation from the dawn of humanity.

Interesting concept but disappointing guide

Interesting concept to discover the less known places in Prague and hear the stories behind them, but the experience would have been better with another guide. The young lady (a summer student hire - so kinda understandable) was mixing up the facts the dates and adding weird details and kept on drifting away with other topics (sports, politics, personal views and personal experience ‘i like, I don’t like etc..). It was no legends and ghosts but sounded more like cheap talk at the pub after a few beers. The parallel tour with the gentleman seemed quite the contrary as we could overhear the way he was presenting it so it was slightly disappointing we were less lucky with the guide.

We want to assure you that all our guides undergo a proper training for their position and that we would not let anyone guide our tour if we would not be sure that they can deliver the best experience possible. Of course, all of the guides have different personalities and does the storytelling in a different way, some of them are more serious, some of them likes to lighten up the atmosphere by making small jokes etc. But all of them have received good reviews and feedbacks. We understand that everyone has a unique taste and that the certain style of guiding might not work for them. We hope that you can maybe give us another chance next time you are in Prague :)

Not just ghosts but a few legends as well. The tour was very well done. If you are a fan of the spooky and not just gory, this is the tour for you. The guide knew his stuff. He recommended some other things to do and a restaurant that were great. I'd go again!
