I absolutely loved everything about this trip!! Totally recommend it, you get to see so much beautiful nature, Michal was out tour guide, very knowledgeable, gave us great recommendations for food and drinks, you can tell he loves what he does, very patient with me as I was moving a little slow going up hill. I also met so very cool people on the tour, I will definitely do this again next time i’m in Prague.

This trip was well worth it! Our guide Marek was very friendly and knowledgeable and patient. Lunch was delicious Czech food and beer. The views and hiking were gorgeous!!! Wish we could go back and hike more of the area! Definitely do this trip!

The views were stunning. Our guide, Lenka, was amazing, patient and very knowledgeable. She let our group go at our pace without making anyone feel bad/uncomfortable and was encouraging the entire time. I will say I would not call this trip and easy hike definitely more moderate with lots of inclines.

Marek was an excellent guide. From the start, the communication from Northern Hikes and him was fantastic and accurate. Whole day offered something different but equally breathtaking. One of the best tours I’ve ever done. Food at lunch was great too. Highly recommended! This is a must do if you are in this region.

Incredible hiking trip with an incredible guide

I booked this tour with Northern Hikes and it was the absolute highlight of my trip to Czechia. From the start, the communication from Northern Hikes was fantastic. They helped me to understand the degree of difficlty of the hike and to assess whether I would be able to undertake it since I had injured my foot a few months earlier, which is why I booked it as a private tour rather than going with the small group. They were great at organising the trip and provided me with a wonderful guide, Pavla, who is highly experienced and very knowledgeable about geological formation, flora and fauna along the hike. This made the hike much more meaningful and enjoyable. I especially appreciated her care for the environment when I saw a guide from another company allowing a tourist to smoke in the national park despite there being a severe forest fire earlier in the year (you can still see the blackened remains of fallen tree stumps along the hike to Pravcicka Gate)! Pavla was incredibly patient and good-humoured, and it is thanks to her that I managed to complete the hike to the Pravcicka Gate, the Gorges River, and the beautiful Bastei Bridge. You do need a moderate level of fitness to complete the hike to Pravcicka Gate and the Gorges River as the climb and descent can be quite steep and the paths are rough at places, but the walk to the Bastei Bridge is easier. The views everywhere are simply stunning, and Pavla made this one of the most perfect hiking experiences I've ever had.

This National Park is phenomenal. The Beauty encompasses both Germany and the Czech Republic territory. You will see gorged massive, unique rock formations. Our guide Michael was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable about the things we were seeing.

Beautiful, atmospheric place.

Very well organised. Our guide Martin was friendly, patient, funny, and very knowledgeable about the place. The welcome snack was wholesome - fresh fruits, biscuits, and water. Martin was also well-stocked with raincoats (which we had to use due to the rainy weather), offered us backpacks, a whole range of soft drinks in the cooler which we were welcome to consume. The vehicle was comfortable and Martin is a safe driver. The place itself is very atmospheric and definitely worth a visit. However do note that there is a lot of climbing up and down stone stairs, inclines…so good shoes, comfortable clothing, and of course basic level of fitness is necessary.

Absolutely amazing day trip, easy 5 stars! From start to finish it was an awesome day, the weather wasn't perfect but it honestly didn't matter. We had a small group for the day, our guide Martin was fantastic. He stopped to buy breakfast to make sure we had food before we started. Very informative guide, but also great to have a chat and laugh with. The hike itself is amazing, we went to Tisa Rocks Labyrinth first. Beautiful spot, easy to moderate hike in some places. We almost had the place to ourselves on a wet day. Lunch was great, I recommend the fish! Even the drive up and back was fun and informative. Worth the cost, highly recommend. Wear comfortable shoes and a rain coat if you have one, but if you don't it will be provided for you. They thought of everything! Thanks Martin!

Marek was an amazing guide and gave our group a fantastic day - by the end of it we called him Master Marek! He thought of everything, snacks and a drink to start, always made sure the car was airconned and cool for us as it was 33 degrees that day. He was full of knowlege throughout and made us all laugh. It was a lot of walking 20,000 steps to be exact, but we didn’t struggle as he knew exactly where and when to go to best the crowds and midday sun. He treated us to lunch and also an fresh fruit frozen ice cream at the end of the day. It was just perfect, thank you Marek. Highly recommend!
