What To Expect

During your stay in Puerto Escondido, don’t miss the chance to explore Manialtepec Lagoon, a natural habitat for migrant birds and other wildlife. After morning pickup from your hotel, travel with your guide through Bacocho, a hotel zone, before stepping aboard a boat at a pier in the neighborhood of ‘Las Negras.’

Cruise across Manialtepec Lagoon surrounded by dense vegetation and learn about its ecosystem. It’s common to see ibis, parrots, iguanas and herons.

The boat then takes you along Manialtepec River to Puerto Suelo beach. Step into the soft sand and go for a swim, or work up a tan. Feel free to ask your guide for recommendations on where to grab a bite to eat (own expense).

Your 5-hour tour ends with transport back to your hotel.

As you admire eat, learn from your guide about the natural ecosystem that this natural attraction brings with a huge quantity of fauna, including herons, iguanas, ibis, ducks, and parrots. Continue the tour as you get into Manialtepec River visiting Puerto Suelo beach, where the boat will land so you can walk by the beach or swim and enjoy a delicious meal (at your expense).
