Overview

Experience the peaceful environment of the Caribbean Sea aboard a catamaran on a sailing journey from Sosua to the Ocean World Marina. Along the way, you'll stop at two snorkeling spots to explore the underwater world using the provided snorkeling equipment. Back on board, dry off and dig in to the buffet lunch, accompanied by drinks from the open bar.

Good trip. Got to see dolphins and 2 whales, highlight of the trip. Snorkeling ok, water was quite rough. Staff were great! Unfortunatley food was not. Tuna pasta salad and coleslaw had turned sour, couldn't eat it.

We had a great time! The ship is beautiful and wasn’t too crowded. Papa, Alex, and the rest of the crew made the ride fun. The only con I can list is that the lunch was just okay, but there’s only so much you can do on a boat, so it didn’t ruin the experience. Thanks guys!

The most memorable parts of the trip was the staff. They really made the boat ride smooth and enjoyable. They were all fun, serviceable and kind. The only con was that the boat was a bit more crowded than I would’ve expected/liked it to be, but even so every part of the trip was super fun and I would definitely do it again.

One of the best parts of our trip. Saw lots of beautiful fish while snorkelling and even two sharks! the views from the boat are breathtaking. Food and drinks were awesome, fantastic staff and great dance party!! Cannot recommend this enough.

We were originally scheduled for a morning 6 hour catamaran tour but had to cancel due to getting Covid tested. They added us to their evening boat snorkeling tour which was excellent. Super crew, great snorkeling and fantastic BBQ. May want to take Dramamine before goi g as some folks got sick. Would Highly recommend.

Everything felt unorganized and rushed. Standing on the beach for 30-45 mins while 5-6 boat loads of people were ushered out to the catamaran was ridiculous. The catamaran was very full which was opposite of what the ad said. Zero ability to even stay remotely away from other people (due to covid) Linch was a gong show of 40+ people lined up around the boat to get their food. We’ve done a few catamaran tours before, but this wasn’t one of the better ones 😟

Thank you for your feedback. As the Catamaran is 75 feet and not able to come to the shore, we always use a speed boat to bring the customers to the Catamaran. If all the taxi and buses comes at the same time for the boarding it might take some time for the boarding. The catamaran is 75 feet and outdoors.

The crew on the catamaran were THE absolute best part of the trip. They were very interactive with ALL guest. Alix was amazing and informative about so much of the Dominican and its culture. What a guy! We visited two different areas for snorkel, enjoyed a lunch buffet, and open bar. After lunch we enjoyed sailing and partying with the crew which was an absolute BLAST. If you did not have a great time, then you must have been half dead. Every single person had a smile all day. The price ($78) included all of this PLUS transportation to and from our resort. You could not ask for a better deal. Actually I fell like I owe THEM more money.

We had an amazing time! Both snorkelling spots were awesome and had plenty of fish to see. The entire crew was really good and friendly! Alex got everyone partying once the drinks were handed out! Highly recommend as it’s a full day at sea.

This was one of the best excursions I have ever taken! The crew was fantastic, the food was delicious and plentiful. Both snorkeling sites were superb, we saw colorful fish, sea turtles, held a white sea urchin and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Transportation to boat and back was punctual and friendly. The energy on the boat was fun and contagious, all age groups and nationalities just having a wonderful time together!

Hands down one of our funnest experiences. The hotel pick up was easy and we got to on the boat pretty quick. There are 2 snorkeling locations which are beautiful, we saw so many fish and the crew was attentive and helpful the entire time we were in the water. On the boat we had a tasty lunch and nice open bar. The entire crew was great but Alex was hands down our favorite. He had the entire boat dancing and laughing and it became a party ! I do recommend bringing an underwater camera if you wanna take pics while snorkeling or being in the water. They also do offer motion sickness pills if you do begin to feel uneasy. Overall great experience and phenomenal crew definitely recommend!

This is a must do! Some (what I hope will be helpful tips): This is run through a specific company called Eric Tours International, but the specific boat trip was called Tip Top Catamaran. Try to verify your actual pickup location with the company if you can. Otherwise the day is absolutely stunning - the fish, boat ride & snorkeling are a dream and the tour guide (Julio I think) who took us snorkeling was so funny and knowledgeable and kind. I hope somehow he sees this. Just a fantastic day overall and I highly recommend this if vacationing in the Puerto Plata area...
