  • What to Bring: swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, bug spray, water shoes, tenis shoes or sandals with ankle straps. No flip flops.
  • Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
  • Largest life jacket fits a size 52" chest
  • A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
  • A minimum of 4 people per booking for the 11:30AM tour is required
  • A maximum of 10 people per booking
  • Travellers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 50 travellers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

We had a great time on our family white water rafting. The tour was fun, the fruit and lunch was delicious. Just wished they would not charge so much to get the digital pictures taken.

Our crew was great. Very kind and helpful. Lunch and snacks were nice. The waterfall was nice. Getting out and having to walk up and over a bunch of rocks was difficult for those less stable. It is a long drive up to the put-in spot, but was great once we got there. Would definitely recommend this company.

If you want a fun and refreshing day trip, this is the one for you! The guides make sure everything is safe, and the river is perfect for all skill levels. The scenery is incredible, too.

My husband and I went white water rafting with Amigos del Rio and had the best time!! Our guide was so knowledgeable and great company! The meal provided at the end was delicious! A 10/10 experience and highly recommend! Love from your Canadian friends!

My husband, two kids ages 8 and 10, and I went on this white water rafting adventure and loved it. It was one of the highlights of our trip. It was so fun. The guide and driver were very friendly and upbeat. The river and surrounding greenery were absolutely gorgeous. We stopped at a beautiful waterfall along the river. The lunch at the end was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

AMAZING!! Moses was our guide and he did not disappoint! The whole crew was amazing. It is a bit of drive to get there, but they make it very comfortable, and you have a little stop to stretch your legs. Felt safe the entire time. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the best white water rafting trips I've ever been on. All the guides with the tour were great and shared a lot of information about Costa Rica on the drive up to the put in location. Our raft guide was very well versed in the river and all the rapids and we were able to hit them all right on.
Very fun. Long ride to get there. Beware that you eat before, not after.

This was a great experience! The rafting was a thrill and the guides (ours was Jesus) were very friendly and informative. Of course, the views were absolutely breath taking. The waterfall was super fun too! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the trip up there was more like 2 hours, not 1, and there was definitely a point during those 2 hours where we felt regretful that we had done this excursion, although it all definitely was worth it in the end. Warning: they feed you BEFORE you go, not after! We were not aware of this and filled up before, only to be fed a meal right away. Anyway, it's super fun and I would recommend it.

We had a fantastic time on our rafting tour! Being able to sleep In for the 11:30 tour was a great start, followed by listening to Moses tell us about the guides, the region and the river trip while we traveled to the river was entertaining. We paddled with Andres who happens to be an ornithologist which was great for the bird watchers in our group. Stopping and walking the shirt trail to a waterfall along the way was fun. The fact that warm rain was falling while we were there in the jungle made it feel more magical, too. We would have loved to have continued down the river for several miles more. Great day! Great experience, we were with Andres who was really energetic and while doing a great job guiding us, also explained about the different animals we were seeing. The rafting was lots of fun and good for all ages, both us and our daughters really enjoyed it. They served a delicious Costa-Rican lunch. Throughout the entire ride to the river the guides explained about the different views we were seeing. We really recommend!!! 👍😁

Absolutely amazing adventure. Just the ride to the river was a little bit adventurous. we had two couples and Kenneth(guide) in our raft. It was about 2 hours on the water with about a thirty minute break to visit the waterfalls. just fantastic. Great guides, great rapids, there was sun, there was rain. The other couple was cool to tour with. Just an insane amount of good time! If you are within a three hour drive, you need to make this trip. I will be doing so again when i return.

Moses was a great guide on the river which was full and fast after a few days of heavy rain. My wife and I will never forget it. He guided the raft in a safe but yet exciting way through the rapids. We ended up drenched but thrilled about the experience. The excursion’s entire support team was also great. They were always responsive to my questions ranging from directions, parking, proper clothing, and providing great pictures of the time spent on the river. It was a great way to experience what makes Costa Rica a fantastic place to visit - Pura Vida. Money well spent.
