My friend and I greatly enjoyed our surf lesson! We really appreciated Dante for being incredibly helpful and accommodating—the van pickup is so nice, as were the fresh fruit and water on the beach. We took about a 90 minute lesson with Javier and Sebastian who were great instructors. I was surprised that we were able to get up as much as we did successfully, we had never surfed before but the instructors help you get right in the water and make the most of your team. We booked a morning lesson that had a 9am pickup and it was really nice to be on the early side to the beach - less crowded and plenty of room for surfing! The beach where these lessons are, Espadilla, is incredibly beautiful so in between waves you can relax and take in the scenery. I wish we’d had enough energy to take a second lesson!

It was our family’s first time to Costa Rica and learning to surf was a must do on this trip. My teen daughters were able to get up on the surf board in no time thanks to their great surf instructors William and Sebastian! I highly recommend learning to surf on Manuel Antonio Beach!

This was definitely one of my favorite things of our whole trip. My friend and I took the class together and had a blast. We had two hours of solid time in the water plus break time whereas a lot of the others list two hours which means you only have about an hour in the water. We had one on one instruction by two brothers—Kenneth and Yazdanny (who also happens to be the bodyboarding champion). They were very friendly, helpful and made for a successful time surfing! I can’t wait to get back out on the water! I definitely recommend it and would do it again.

The instructors were very good, patient and helpful. I was a bit cautious about this as it was my first time but not only did they make me feel confident, I managed to surf some waves to the shore. They were very encouraging. They took us to a great spot and the group was small with a very low teacher to student ratio.

Dante runs a fabulous service. Our first day the tide was too high. Not Dantes fault. But he upgraded us to private lessons just to be a great guy. The instructors were wonderful. If you think you might not be able to do this, you can! Worth every penny.
