Very nice trip to islands

Great fun for families

My whole family had a great time on this trip. The boat trip was great fun, and the crew were very friendly and helpful - between their broken English, my broken Portuguese, and a little bit of Google Translate, we got by! There were couples and families on the trip, and all appeared to have a good time. The four stops were lots of fun - our favourite was the first stop, where we got to go snorkeling with loads of tropical fish. Lunch was pretty good for what it was - but it is a late lunch (3-4ish, as the last stop of the trip), so make sure you have a big breakfast. Yes, there is a 3 hour coach drive each way, but there's a snack stop halfway, and as long as you bring a book or headphones, the time flies by. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable day!

As I booked it, took the option English Language and it was accepted. It was written: bilingual guide etc. but neither guide nor anyone could speak any word in english (or anything else except port). I felt me so stupid during 10 hours, noone to communicate and couldn‘t understand the commands or comments. If you speak portuguese, then it‘s ok.

Had a lot of fun touring Ilha Grande with this tour. The scenery is beautiful and the staff is very helpful and kind. There is a lot of time spent on the bus like other reviews mention but it’s very manageable. Also there are multiple stops to buy food along the way so the late lunch isn’t a problem. The only feedback I have is that the staff only speaks Spanish and Portuguese. 2/3 people in my group speaks Spanish but if we didn’t this tour wouldn’t have been that great. Unsure why the person reviewing these comments always says people are lying and the guides speak perfect English because they don’t.

Honestly, it was one of the most beautiful days of my life. I felt like I finally found out what paradise is. All you need to do is just let Brazil’s spirit take you away… The people from the reviews complaining that the tour took longer than expected should be happy that they got more for what they paid for. If people obsess about taking pictures of the rubbish, then I’m very sorry for them that they cannot see the good things in life and the little miracles this beautiful world also has to offer. As two single best friends in our 30s we can say neutrally that this tour is not necessarily suited for children. It’s quite long, so many impressions and it is pretty loud because of the music (which was fantastic by the way), so maybe it’s a bit too much for the little ones. We had the most beautiful day and the tour guides went out of their way to make us happy (thank you Tiago!!!) We can highly recommend this!!

Highlight of our Rio Trip ❤️

We had a ton of fun on this excursion. The bad reviews seem to be from people who are high maintenance or a scorned ex girlfriend. The bus ride is long, yes, but bring headphones or a book and enjoy the views. Once you get out of the city, the scenery is beautiful. It’s definitely a party boat, but I never felt unsafe and had a blast. Unfortunately, there weren’t any drugs like the reviews suggested. The stops included swimming in tubes, laying on the beach, and swimming some more. The guides were lovely and patient with us since we only speak English. If you’re only an English speaker and will be uncomfortable with not understanding the majority of what’s going on, then maybe you shouldn’t travel abroad, it’s half the adventure 😂

Excellent value trip - yes it can be a fairly long trip on the bus - I was the first pickup and last drop - but on the positive side of that I got to see a good part of Rio and of the countryside on the way to the dock. And it is a late lunch, more like 'tea time'. But I was prepared for those minor issues and thoroughly enjoyed the trip, especialy the party atmosphere on the return to the dock. The crew were all good natured and helpful, including the bar staff and it was a good day out

Out of nowhere

As a family with 5 yrs old child we felt we are out of nowhere after we look forward with this tour. Number 1. we are not prepared the drive is 2 hours long going to the island, lack of tour descriptions. Lunch is supper time (4pm) bring your own lunch despite of early pick up. This highly NOT RECOMMENDED if you only speak ENGLISH you will ended up like us just sitting on the edge of schooner. If you don't know how to swim, they don't care they just stop in the middle of 20 to 30 ft of ocean and jump on your own to get in the island if you cannot swim sorry for you, you will stay in the schooner. Our tour guide doesn't care due to speak very little English. Snorkeling to take you a picture, yes, a lot of poor fishes and there is a lot of trash!, we don't understand other people having fun swimming with a floating plastic bottles, debris and cigarettes butts. This is an awful tour!!!!

good morning, feedback is always precious, but I must say this feedback is bizarre. You have booked a boat trip. Our guide who speaks perfect English explained everything to you on the bus, then on the boat, you are taking a boat tour and not a guided tour to see the historical sites, on the boat our guide clearly interacted with you, as in the same day we had 50 customers. The product does say that the trip to Angra dos Reis lasts 3 hours, lunch is served at the end of the tour to avoid nausea since the tour is done by boat but on the schooner seeing all types of food. With emphasis on the boat trip, sorry, but we have more than 40 positive reviews regarding the trip, I don't understand your indignation. Finally, the sea in Angra dos Reis is beautiful and there is no debris in the bar.

Very scenic tour, great experience. Good lunch and bar on the boat, though the boat was a bit crowded. The bus ride was not two but over four hours as it took very long time to pick up everyone. We were picked up at 0715 and arrived at 1130. They also ran out of snorkelling masks…

Was a wonderful trip… I planned on being on this all day, as should you. It was a 2.5 hour-3hour bus ride each way, but well worth the relaxation of snorkeling and island hopping. Bus had a bathroom on it… pack bottled water and make sure you eat before. Was a wonderful time and I recommend it.

if you speak, Portuguese or Spanish, this could be a good trip for you. If you only speak English, don’t go… TripAdvisor does not make this known. I am from the USA, and the only other English-speaking person was a woman from New Zealand. We basically did not know what was going on the entire day. Fortunately, we met a very nice young woman who spoke English and was able to help. I am very grateful for the kindness she showed to a stranger during her vacation time. The trip was supposed to be 12 hrs and it was 14 and 1/2 hrs. I had an international flight to catch later that evening. So stressful… had it been explained that this trip typically takes longer I would have never gone.

All our guides are bilingual, but on that date we had some unforeseen events and our main guides got sick, and our reserve speaks English, but not fluently. But he did his best to help them and have an amazing experience Regarding the duration of the tour, it usually lasts 12 hours, but unforeseen circumstances such as traffic on the way back to the city can interfere a little with the arrival time in Rio de Janeiro

Worst experience of my Life! 7 Hours on a bus!!

BEWARE!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! NOT 12 HOURS, CLOSER TO 15 HOURS. If I could give this Zero stars I would. They said the trip would be 12 hours but it was a total of 7 hours on a bus! We originally booked this tour and I called to confirm that they could pick up from my hotel and after taking my money they told me I couldn't be picked up from my hotel and that I would have to walk to the hotel that the pickup was as (Red flag number one). They said it was a 7 minutes walk from our hotel and it was actually 20 minutes and then they got angry with me for being late. We got there and our tour guide couldn't speak English even though it was an English tour!! The bus ride was terrible and to top it all off the "lunch" was at 5pm and was actually terrible. I messaged them asking to confirm return time and they said 10pm max.....we got home at 11pm.... Probably the worst part of the whole situation is I emailed them after to tell them about my experience, they responded by saying that I was 2 minutes late for pick up.

Hi, let's clarify each of the point of your evaluation. At no time was it said that the meeting point was 5 minutes away on foot, but by car, our meeting point is in front of a super safe hotel that has a reception and 24 hour security. Regarding travel time, it is specified that it is 3 hours from Rio de Janeiro to Angra dos Reis where we take the boat to start the boat trip. And to return to Rio we have more than 3 hours of travel. In terms of the food, we have no complaints from other customers regarding the quality. Lunch is recommended to be eaten at the end of the tour in order to avoid discomfort and nausea from having lunch before and then taking the boat trip Other than that clarification, we have more than 40 people as witnesses who took the same tour as you and on the same day, the tour was great and without any complaints, we have all our prints here. And actually, all your indignation was because you had booked a restaurant at 9 pm knowing that you would be participating in the tour scheduled to end at 10 pm/10:30 pm, we also have prints of that cover of yours requesting a refund due to your mistake. We are totally open to feedback but truthful, not mean comments like yours.

Overall, the tour was good. The staff at the boat were extremely helpful and even the food. However, tour has been offered only in the Portughese language and they picked us from the hotel, 30 minutes late. Nonetheless, I still recommend.

This was a tough review. To elaborate, this was for our honeymoon and admittedly, we should have read more of the fine print, and actually checked on the map where exactly we were headed. From other reviews it is true, the tour bus will likely arrive late, and when you are a tourist with no cell service or a means to contact the company to make sure they are still coming when they are 30 minutes past the pickup time is difficult. In addition, the tour that we booked said that the guide would be bi-lingual. However, the guide we had was only certified in Portuguese. She did go out of her way to get an English translation of the packages on Whatsapp, that we could take pictures of, but it didn't make the experience that enjoyable. In addition, just as a heads up, after pick up, there is a two-and-a-half-hour drive to the port to leave on a bus. This in general isn't terrible, but remember, everyone still has to drive back on the same bus, after being in the water all day... it gets rather smelly. Also, they don't tell you to bring towels (probably common sense) but we didn't and it was raining so it got very cold, very quickly. Even with it being rainy, the drinks were fine, the food was fine, and we did have a good experience in general, but I can't recommend it.

Our guide speaks perfect English, we had other foreign clients on board who spoke perfectly English with the guide. Now, the strange thing, is that you comment on the tour by putting 3 stars, and then ask for a refund, is there something strange? something wrong? what do you say?

Today was a cold and rainy day. Except for swim among fishes (the best of this trip) the rest was only rain and clouds all day, whit all my wear wet, wet, wet. In the return to Rio de Janeiro, the van was stuck on mood. So, all the passenger must pushed the van for unstuck, under the rain, of course. The driver never on the warm air. So right now I’m cold, taken pils and whit pain throat.
