Pickup details

Pickup starts 30min before the tour. Fot the morning tour it will be between 7:00am and 7:30am, for the afternoon tour it will be between 1:30pm and 2:00pm, depending on traffic. Each hotel have a specific timing according to the it's location. Please contact us for the exact time. Important: for operational reasons our pickup happens only in selected hotels in the neighborhood of Copacabana, Leme, Ipanema and Leblon. If your hotel is not in the list, also please contact us so we will help you finding the nearest pick-up point.

Our experience with Vitago and Carioca Tropical Tours (the operators) was absolutely fantastic. Sabina could not have been more lovely - she was knowledgeable and had additional tips and tricks that saved us time and put us the perfect spot for photos. We did the afternoon tour so we were able to catch sunset at Sugarloaf. By far the best day we had in Rio thanks to this tour!

Let me start by sharing how our tour guide Pedro aka Peter was phenomenal. Not only do you get so much information on the tour and history but he makes it fun! He was so happy to help us with some great shots at the Christ and that was very helpful. Our driver Flavio aka Toreto and Peter make a great team. If you come to Rio guys please don't miss out on this tour. You will skip the lines, gain so much history and have a great time. Keep an eye out on the weather, go ONLY if it's a clear day, no rain otherwise you won't get good or clear pics. Our day was Fantastic!

We were disappointed. We waited in line at Sugar Loaf Mountain a long time while our guide purchased tickets. We were giving 25 minutes on the upper mountain and only 15 on the lower mountain. Our guide told us to enjoy the view, grab a bite, do some shopping. That was a joke since there was not nearly enough time for that. This was likely our only visit to Rio. The Sugar Loaf portion of this tour was so rushed we couldn't enjoy it.

Sabine was an excellent host to our small group of six. Pick up was exactly on time and both sites were worth visiting. We arrived at Corcovado shortly after the 8am opening so didn’t experience and entry delays.

This tour was more about providing transportation than a deep dive into the two sites. We made the mistake of booking on a weekend in high season. Bad traffic so the bus came an hour late to pick us up and the lines were so long we never made it to Sugar Loaf. About half our group wound up taking taxis back to our hotels.

This half day trip is perfect if you don't have a lot of time to spare in Rio. The guide Peter was charming funny and knowledgeable. We left early and beat the crowds to Christ the redeemer. Sugarloaf mountain was another stunning location.
