This tour is for Cruise Ship guests only! If you're staying on-island, check out our Best of Roatan Tour (Product code: 39620P6) Roatan has two Cruise Ship Terminals -- Please check below for meeting location for your arrival dock below: 1) Port of Roatan Cruise Terminal (NCL, RCI, MSC, etc.): As you exit your ship, Pass the Shopping Plaza stores. Take a right at the restrooms past the shops and wrap-around building to the Independent Tours booths. Look for the Victor Bodden Tours Kiosk -- You'll see our VICTOR BODDEN TOURS signs and uniformed employees at Kiosk #1 at the port's Independent Tours area. One of our representatives will greet you at the kiosk, locate your name on our list and introduce you to your guide for the day. 2) Mahogany Bay Cruise Center (Carnival, Princess, AIDA, Costa, Holland American, P&O, etc): As you exit your ship, customers on Local Independent Tours will be required by Carnival Corporation to exit their dock area through the gates and walk over the hill to the main road. Once outside the gates and over the hill, look for our representatives holding VICTOR BODDEN signs. One of our representatives will greet you, locate your name on our list and introduce you to your guide for the day. At the end of your tour day, we ARE able to drop you off to the entrance of the dock...so you will only have to do this long walk one-way, when you first arrive. a. Once you are outside the cruise compound, look for the VICTOR BODDEN TOURS signs and shirts!! b. The Port Manager of the Mahogany Bay Cruise Center has negotiated with the on-site Taxi Association to provide transportation, if required, to the Independent Tours meeting area. Please see the Taxi Dispatcher (in the Green Mahogany Bay shirt) to arrange for your group to utilize this service -- tell them that you need the shuttle service to Victor Bodden Tours on the other side of the hill. Or, if you'd rather, you can still walk over the hill (approximately 350 yards) to the designated area.

  • Our 4 to 5-Hour Roatan Island Cultural Sightseeing Tour including West Bay Beach Resort departs our assembly area at your port one hour after your ship's arrival at the dock. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure to check-in. Guests not arriving in-time will not be able to tour and tour fees will not be refunded.
  • At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time. Regardless of times entered, our 4 to 5-Hour Roatan Island Cultural Sightseeing Tour including West Bay Beach Resort departs our assembly area at your port one hour after your ship's arrival at the dock.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure to check-in. Guests not arriving in-time will not be able to tour and tour fees will not be refunded.
  • Visiting Victor's Monkey Business and entering the animal habitats is optional. Visiting the animal habitats and touching/holding the animals is not in any way encouraged or required to participate in this tour. While others in your tour group are visiting Victor's Monkey Business, alternative activities are available.
  • *Sloths are on "Island Time" and only give hugs until 11AM. After 11AM, we have a "Selfies-Only" policy with our sleeping sloths!
  • Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
  • Our average Fun-n-Sun tour length is 4 to 5 hours. If your ship's itinerary is unusually short (or long), the timing and number of our Highlights stops may be shortened or extended.

Our Favorite Exursion

Arnold was our tour guide and I cannot recommend him enough. He was phenomenal. An island native, he was able to share some history and help us avoid some high-traffic areas, but also made sure we saw some local sights that were picture worthy. We arrived to the Bodden Animal Sanctuary fairly early. The monkeys were playful and the sloths were beyond a dream come true. We got so many great photos and got our sloth souvenirs on site. Next we headed to the beach resort. The beach has white sands and beautiful turquoise water. It reminded us of Negril, Jamaica (our favorite vacation spot). Arnold found our group the perfect set of beach loungers with some in the shade and some in the sun to accommodate everyone's wishes. This was the best day ashore during out week-long cruise.

Loved the Animal Park and the Beach

Our group really enjoyed the tour with the monkeys, sloths, birds, etc. It was a nice facility, and we had a great tour guide within the animal park who made sure that everyone could interact with the animals and get pictures. The island tour doesn't really feel like an island tour, rather the tour guide just pointing out the places/businesses along the way, like where the Americans are building their nice houses on the island. I didn't learn anything about the history or the people of Roatan. The beach that we were taken to was beautiful. We spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed the beach and the water. The HM resort that we were taken to had restrooms & changing rooms, but it was very crowded, and the food was awful and took forever. Drinks were ok. Would be nice to go to another beach resort on the same beach. There weren't enough golf carts to take everyone back to the entrance on time, so we had to walk. It was fine for most of us, but not for anyone with mobility issues.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent "Fun-n-Sun" tour. I am happy that you enjoyed the Animal Sanctuary and beach, but we really need to work on focusing on cultural/historical aspects during the tour portion. I feel we have an interesting history and some amazing culture...not sure why your guide was sharing info on where Americans live...you're from the United States and likely know where Americans live! I am happy that you enjoyed the beauty of West Bay Beach, but sorry that the resort was not as accommodating as you wished. When it's a busy day on the island, everything seems to suffer a bit...we're used to a laid-back, island pace. When things get busy, like a Jenga-puzzle, things begin to get a bit shaky! I prefer several restaurants right down the sand from where you were headquartered (next time you visit, ask for my...or your guide's...recommendations!) One of them has guacamole that I think I dream about... We shuffle our "group tour's beach" month-to-month, so I will share your feedback with this month's host and hopefully they will "up their game!" in the food taste/preparation department. We hope you give us a visit again soon... try a private tour, for a GREAT cultural/historical experience (just request that you want to focus on that...and we'll do it!) Plus, you can choose the beach resort that YOU want to visit on a private tour. But, for now, I am thankful for your feedback and will share with our tour guide staff and the beach resort. Loved the sloth. So much fun holding them. They are adorable. Also enjoyed the macaws and the money sitting on our heads. Love being in touch with nature. Our driver George was excellent. He gave us info on the island. He was very friendly and professional.

It was easy to find the tour after leaving the cruise ship. The first half of the tour was amazing but the second half was horrid. We had a chance to see sloths and monkeys and pet them. That was amazing, The city tour was really a quick driving tour. The tour guide was difficult to understand most times but he was enthusiastic. At the beach, we were harassed by the locals about massages and braids. It was so bad that the entire group wanted to leave but the driver was gone.

I am thankful for your honest feedback of the 4-to-5 Hour Cultural Sightseeing Tour. I am glad that you enjoyed your time with the monkeys and sloths. I wish that we had control over the beach vendors, but our local government refuses to require licensing to reduce their numbers on the beach. Most find it an "easy way" to make a buck without looking for employment elsewhere. I'm sure that you noticed the many children that were selling, too. It seems they are teaching their kids at an early age. But, that does NOT forgive the driver/guide being available if the group was not having fun at the beach. This occasionally happens, not often, but when it does they should be available to take you for more sightseeing or shopping for the balance of your 4 to 5 hour tour. Also, if you're unable to understand the tour guide, that's a big negative for English-speakers, as well! Based on your feedback, your guide has been taken out of the tour rotation and I will work with him on his tour guide skills, English, etc. to match his enthusiasm to share the island with visitors. Please come back for another visit, schedule a private tour (so that you can choose what you want to see/do, skip the beach, etc.) Again, I appreciate your feedback and know that the lessons learned will improve our tours for future guests. VB

The animals looked really cared for.. Funny story the monkey didn't even need to be told to get on my sister as you can see in the photo they had a great time lol... and Ken was an amazing guide.. the best part for me was the beach had such easy access.. my sister had mobility issues but she could get in and out very easily.. I highly recommend this...

I wanted a tour that had variety (sloths, info on Roatan, and beach). Valerie, our guide, was great. The tour was relaxed and fun, especially the animals. We learned a lot about the island, and the beach was beautiful.

This tour was an excellent value. Our guide was thoughtful and attentive, making sure we all had a good experience and were comfortable. The little "zoo" with monkeys , sloths and macaws is actually a rescue facility for these animals. We were very impressed by how health and happy the animals were and how well cared for they were. Betty was very patient with us and made sure everyone enjoyed their time there. Highly recommend Bodden Tours.

The tour was great. The zoo was unbelievable with the monkeys and sloths and all the animals. After the tour, we went to the beach for 3 hours. The beach was great and the food and drinks were too. Ben, the tour driver, was great. Thanks Ben.

We met our tour guide on the outside after we pass the shops. The walk is far to get to the outside tours but it was worth it. Jerry (I hope I spelled his name right) took us around the island and explained some of the history of Roatan. That was a good hour to go around the island. Then, we went to a little zoo that had monkey's which we were able to go inside their cage and take pictures with them, we saw macaws and took pictures with them then we saw our favorite sloths! They were too cute and we took pictures with them!! The zoo was small but worth our time to visit the animals and take pictures with them! We then went to the West Bay Beach Resort which was great and amazing! . Bring extra money if you want to do activities at the beach. My husband, daughter and son did snorkeling near the second largest reef in the world.. This a must to do while you are in Roatan. My husband, daughter and son went on a small boat to the reefs and they spend a good hour plus going to two different locations near the reef to snorkel and they loved it!! The water was clear and beautiful. They were able to see small fishes around the reef which was amazing! I would recommend bring extra money if you are interested in snorkeling or other activities on the beach. They also had an awesome restaurant that made some really good pizza!!! This tour was great and would recommend it to everyone! You can't beat the price and can't beat what you see and experience! We give it five stars. Jerry was nice enough to drive us up the hill to where the shopping was near the cruise ships so we did not have to walk up the hill to enter in the shopping area and to head back to our ship. Jerry was great!!!

The tour stand was easy to locate however we did watch a iTunes U video showing us the location. We had a wonderful guide that went well out of his way for us. We felt very safe and had our guid watch our belonging while we swam. It was a great tour with great stops and activities!

Our guide Elyn Wood was excellent. very informative and fun. The monkey and sloth park was a highlight! It was fun to get to hold the animals. cultural tour very informative and Banarama beach area was relaxing. lounge chair area was reserved for us next to the beach with free wi-fi. We had lunch at the bar and the food was good and reasonable. All and all a good choice. The bus was VERY full which is maybe the only downside.

Finding the tour guide was quite easy just follow the detailed instruction given. When we boarded the vehicle the tour guide was unware as to which tour we were doing. .We tried to explain however we could not remember the details as described in the tour .We basically had to tell the tour guide where we wanna see. nevertheless we had fun at Victors's Monkey business, and the stop at West Bay was a nice relaxing addition/We also made a stop at the Roatan Sign.

the tour guides combined 2 tours a beach tour with 5 people and the sightseeing tour us with 4 people, we ended up doing almost all beach because the 5 people complained alot

We had a hard time finding a private tour that would accommodate 10 people so we decided to give this tour a try. No regrets. It was awesome. The pick-up location was near the cruise pier and we departed on time with 18 passengers. Our first stop was at a local souvenir area where we bought our usual Christmas ornaments. Next stop was the Monkey Reserve. Everyone loved getting in the cages with the monkeys. They monkeys would sit on your shoulder and pose for pictures. The entry fee was included with the tour. Next stop was the beach. Please be aware, the road to the beach is very bumpy. It is slow going on the rough roads but well worth the effort. The beach and water were beautiful. We all had beach chairs in the shade. We were at the beach for about 2 hours. This tour was the best value we experienced. Our tour guide Annie, provided local knowledge and was accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend this tour but be aware of the rough road to the beach. We were back at the cruise pier with plenty of time to spare.

The tour started well, although the rain was horrendous we remained in good spirits. The guide seemed friendly and knowledgeable apologies - I can't remember her name. The driver did an excellent job considering the weather. Once we got the Monkey park everything went downhill. We were told because of the weather that it would cost 25 instead of 30 because we weren't going to the beach - our voucher specifically said it included ALL entrance fees but we were asked to pay extra for this - which I was angry about. We declined as a result. While we were waiting in the lobby for other members of our group to go through the exhibit, several other tour groups came through with different guides, and every single time they were informed it would cost 10 to do the same tour we had been told was normally 30. This happened half a dozen times. Obviously we had been given bad information or the price had been increased just for our benefit... We were annoyed, but happy we had made the decision not to pay. Right before we left, our guide went up to the desk and slyly and hurriedly took a wad of cash from the desk clerk, immediately trying to hide it I don't think she knew we had seen the transaction. I hate to imply wrongdoing without knowing all the facts but it seemed clearly like a kick-back. After that we just drove around a bit, not really seeing anything else of value. The day was bad partly due to weather, which is no-one's fault, but partly because we feel conned. We DO NOT recommend using this tour company!

Interesting tour with different type of visit. The bus was nice and safe, the group was small less than 20, and the guide, Mrs Woods with an s, was very dynamic and knows the culture very well since she's proud to leave there. The visit to the monkey park was fun and not to long. Finally, the stop to the beach was nice.
