Highly recommend this tour if you are looking to share your day with these warm and friendly people.
I would recommend for a nice half day at Roatan.
It was easy to locate the tour just outside the immediate cruise port area in Roatan.

Everything was great . We had our own guide . Every part of this tour was amazing. The glass bottom boat was cool , the rum factory was definitely great and the monkeys and sloths was informational and exciting. Can’t ask for anything more .
Not ideal for those with mobility issues

Just ok. Not ideal for those with mobility issues. Also problem with pick up from rearranged bay for glass bottom boat. Took forever for us to be collected!

Just Book It! Roatan Anderson Tours is Excellent!

I'm a Travel Advisor, so when I go on Cruises, I usually turn to Viator for amazing Excursions, they are always trusted and reliable, and much more affordable to book at times than CruiseLine offerings. I read the reviews on this one, and wasn't disappointed. We walked to the meeting point, Lennard was our tour guide and he was amazing! He treated us like family, first he walked us over to the Jungle area place to see the Sloths/Monkeys/Parrots, which we were able to hold and take pics with. We even had a beautiful Photographer (MayanEnhancement) with us the entire time taking pictures, which cost $42USD to have them all emailed to you. Lennard was waiting for us after the Animal Encounters and took us to the Underwater Submarine to see the beautiful Coral/Fish, then he was waiting for us and we got back in his private van, he has lived in Roatan his entire life and gave us a private tour of the West End of the Island as well, my husband had so many questions about the culture and island and Lennard answered them all. he offered to take us to different places (chocolate, etc.) but we wanted to see the amazing island and my husband wanted to eat authentic island food, he took us to the best place- Paradise Restaurant. Where we ended our beautiful day with a great meal before headed back to the ship. For an amazing experience/trusted tour, seek out Roatan Anderson, ask for Lennard if available, he really did a great job. Thank you again for making our day in Roatan special.
A scam for a poor experience.

The confirmation email gave no directions as to where to meet so when we got off our boat I called the company number only to be told to check my email and hung up on. Luckily the tour guides around the port knew to tell us that we had to walk all the way out of the port (at least 1/4 mile). Before booking the excursion I emailed Anderson Tours to make sure children three and under were allowed and free since there is no place to purchase tickets for them. I was told that they were allowed so we booked our tickets for the adults. When we showed up with our three year old twin boys we were told that we had to pay for them or lose our tickets because it was past the cancellation period. So we reluctantly paid nearly double what we had planned to for this trip. We than sat around waiting for the 10am reservations to show up even though our reservation was at 9am. This was on the side of the road (because you have to hike out of the port) on a very steep slope where our kids kept falling and complaining of the heat. Eventually after us getting upset enough the tour guide decided to take us alone, which was good as it was only a five seat car, with four seatbelts. So I sat in the middle so that my kids would have seatbelts. The monkey and sloth experience was a cute moment for a photo but it is just that. A moment. So many people are packed in that you get the animal long enough for a picture then someone else takes it. The cages are small and the monkeys were caked in feces. After the animals my kids were hungry so we walked to the restaurant upstairs for lunch. I told our driver he could join us and he was ordered food, the most expensive thing on the menu. Then when the check came he didn’t offer to pay for his share. We didn’t feel like $20 was worth a confrontation so we let it go and went on to the next activity, the glass bottom boat. After a short drive we got there only to find out the boat had just left and we would have to wait an hour but to get into the beach was $15/person. We begrudgingly paid and our kids were so excited to play in the sand. After about 15 minutes the driver ran up to us saying the boat was ready and we had to go now. We didn’t even get time to rinse and dry our kids off. After that we were done and asked to be taken back to the port instead of stay at the beach we had paid for in which vendors were approaching you every 30 seconds. When we arrived we were out of cash (because of all the extra and unplanned expenses) so the driver said we could PayPal our tip to the company. When we did he asked to take a picture of the confirmation because the owner was “a funny guy” and he might need proof. The entire day ended up costing us nearly triple what we had budgeted and it all felt like a shake down. We would’ve enjoyed ourselves so much more had we just stayed at the port beach. But the glass bottom boat was really cool!

Hi hope all is well really desapointing to read all the negativo stuff you had to say about our company 1- from the day you all in the office asking about the kids you was told 3 and above had to pay foe their excurssion cause if u dont pay for it the glass bottom boat company will still charge it to me thatvwas my exact word 2- when you show up Richard was your Driver and he was asign only to you guys so I dont Know where u had to wait 3- If you ask a Driver or a guide to lunch I dont see why he has to pay if you ask him to join u all the plate are almost the same 4- the glass bottom boat had a specific hour to go out and if you guys miss buy shopping for lunch you have to wait tell next hour to go out 5- you didnt had beach included so if you want to do so you have to pay for it they are private Resorts not public 6- we never over charge o take money from people that doesnt has to be charge
Sloths and glass bottom boat
Ann_F, Mar 2023
Seeing the sloths and monkeys and the glass bottom boat. The excursion was good but disorganized. We walked to the sloth, monkey, zoo area and that was all good and enjoyable. After we were told to wait for a driver and after asking several times one picked us up. We thought we were heading to glass bottom boat but instead drove about 20 minutes in what was opposite direction to pick up to guys that needs a ride somewhere then took them to where they were going and then finally drove to where we would get boat and was told we had a 45 minute wait for the boat. The glass bottom boat was good and after that we had a lunch before heading back with a stop at rum place and chocolate place.
Best with a different company
Jason_K, Mar 2023
The boat was amazing, the sloths were great, although in a very crowded area/"zoo". Anderson Tours was 30 minutes late, packed us into a junk car like sardines, and the "air conditioning" kept it at about 85 degrees in the car. And then when we came out from the sloth tour, other guides had to call to find our guide. All the other guides were sitting there waiting for their passengers. I would book this again, but with a different company.
Best day of our trip
Stacey_C, Feb 2023
Amazing tour, would have been small group but ended up just being the two of us and our guide Cristhain was fantastic. First we went to the sanctuary which this one was walking distance from the pier. The sanctuary was wonderful and we were able to interact with the animals. Then we went to the Roatan sign then off to the glass bottom boat which again, was not busy so there were maybe 8 of us on it. That was a great way to see the coral reef without snorkeling or scuba, no worries about getting wet or gear - it was about 45 min on the boat. Our last stop was at the rum factory then we went back to the pier. It was the best day of our entire cruise because of this tour. Holding a sloth was a dream come true, sad that people think they can make these animals pets then can't care for them and they end up in a sanctuary when they belong in their natural habitat, I am glad there are groups who will give them a safe place.
Good tour
Ashley_P, Feb 2023
Nice tour guide, questionable vehicles (no Handles on door). It’s a service, not a tour. The company doesn't own the animal exhibit or boat. You’re paying for the the local driver. Would book again.
Beautiful and fun

Our tour guide Skinzor was awesome! He was so patient with us and made us feel safe. I would definitely ask for him. He told us all the history and showed us thing we would have meter seen alone. Fantastic
Good excursions, Driver coordination poor
Don_S, Jan 2023
While we enjoyed both the Glass Boat and the Monkey, Sloth Hang Out we were disappointed with the amount of time we were left waiting (over 40 minutes) between the two excursions. Our driver said something vague about waiting for others and would disappear for long periods of time. When we would see him in the crowd he was on his cell phone. Overall we enjoyed both excursions, just a bit disappointed with driver's coordination of events. And while the description said pick up in air conditioned cars was at the pier entrance we walked several blocks to the Monkey, Sloth Hang Out.
Great tour with unique experiences
Mara_P, Dec 2022
My husband, 4 year old daughter, and I all had a great time on this tour. The glass bottom boat was one of the coolest things I have ever done on a cruise excursion. The water was crystal clear and many fish swam right up to the boat. It felt surreal to peek in on the underwater world that way. The animal park was also a lot of fun for my husband and me, though our daughter was cranky by that time of day and would not participate in anything. We were given a guide and a photographer - at the end we were able to purchase all our photos for $30, which seemed reasonable compared to the outrageous charges for photos on the ship and other tours we did. Other stops included a chocolate shop with samples, a rum factory that had a scenic overlook, a gift shop to kill time before our boat tour reservation, and a photo op with a Roatan sign. Our tour guide shared some nice facts and information throughout the drive and was always helpful with taking pictures and helping everyone in and out of the car. Keep in mind that Roatan is on Central time which may not be the same time as your ship. We shared the van with one other couple, and they had mistakenly shown up an hour early while we were killing time in the cruise port shops. We made it back from the 10 am local/11 am ship time tour in plenty of time, but would have preferred to get an earlier start. Also be aware that the meeting point for Mahogany Bay is a few minutes walk outside of the cruise port. Coming back, we were able to show our cruise card to security so that he was able to drop us right off at the port.
Amazing experience
Kristeen_P, Dec 2022
The pet sanctuary was so fun! Holding all of the different animals and learning about them was a really neat experience. We also really enjoyed the glass, bottom boat… It felt just like we were sitting in the middle of an aquarium! To top it off, our driver, for the entire time was wonderful. I highly recommend this tour and Cristhian himself. He was amazing!!
Nice half day excursion
Candace_W, Dec 2022
The best part was the animal encounter; holding the sloth, playing with the monkeys. The boat was very interesting but the narrative was mostly in Spanish and the English version was difficult to understand. Mario was a great driver.
Amazing Trip with Anderson's Tours
Thary_P, Nov 2022
Ron was a great driver that told us the stories of how Roatan became Roatan through the history of other country's influences to how this island speaks several different languages.
10/10
Tiffany_C, Oct 2022
Such an amazing experience!!! We were a little skeptical at first but everything turned out amazing. Our driver, Steven, was soooo very sweet and so helpful! I got sick on the glass bottom and Steven stopped to get me meds and some water. He’s amazing! The monkey and sloths exhibit was soo fun. Also, the glass bottom boat was a great experience. Overall, 10/10 would definitely recommend. Thank you, Anderson Tours, for a very memorable experience!!
Fun for the whole family!
Jaime_M, July 2022
The monkeys were a ton of fun to play with and the sloths were adorable to hold! We also were able to hold parrots and guinea pigs, as well as see a variety of other native animals. Many at the facility were rescues, and our guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and their care. We then took a 20-30min ride to the beach to take our glass bottom boat tour. It is a great experience for people that do not like to swim or do not snorkel/SCUBA dive. Be sure to bring your bathing suites with you so you can enjoy the water after your tour!
Great Experience
Dana_B, July 2022
What a beautiful experience! I had know idea Honduras was home to the second largest coral reef in the world. The staff was awesome and very friendly. It was a beautiful sight to see all of the underwater creatures!
I recommend this tour!
DaVaughna_E, Apr 2022
The sights beautiful, the culture and history is amazing. Roatan is a beautiful place. Our guide, Richard was the BEST!!! Ask for him!!
Awesome tour guide
John_C, Jan 2022
We had an awesome time seeing the monkeys and sloths, and the glass bottom boat was just as awesome as well. But the professional service from the guide Ron was first class all the way. He arrived on time to pick us up was very polite and kind, informed us of all the local history and culture of the island of Roatan. My wife was so happy that he stopped at all points of interest along the way and took multiple pictures of our family for us. Thanks, Ron, for a great day.
Great tour
THOMAS_M, Jan 2020
We booked this tour through Viator but the actual tour company was Roatan Anderson. It was easy to locate the tour just outside the immediate cruise port area in Roatan. Our guide, Hayman, was there waiting for us and we were soon on our way. There were two of us and were in a Toyota minivan. Hayman was great. He was a local and knew the island very well. Our stop with the monkey/sloths was first and quite interesting. We were able to hold the monkeys , or rather have them climb all over us, and the sloths which was quite unique. The glass bottom boat ride was good. Although the water was somewhat murky due to high winds, the view of the coral reef was pretty good and we saw a good number of fish and sea turtles. Another stop was a chocolate factory, which was very small but interesting and had good samples. Hayman was quite willing to take to other sites if we were interested., but we had to get back to the ship. We can definitely recommend this tour and especially Hayman.
