Knowledgeable Tour Guide

Cecilia was the best guide. She is an art historian, so she had so much insight. She gave us time at each piece to enjoy the details. She adapted her tour to the interests of my kids as well as for me and my husband. She was very easy to work with and a delight.

Lia brought the artwork to life, giving us the story behind the sculpture or painting, and what to look for that makes the art special. Without her explanations, we wouldn’t have a clue as to what we were looking at, or what to look for. With limited time in the gallery, I’m sure she showed us the most exceptional pieces.

We were taken round by Lia Ferrera. This is our 4th visit to Rome and this was easily the best tour we have been on. Lia was extremely interesting host and brought the subject to life. We would recommend this tour to anyone.

The tour is fantastic. As of course is the gallery itself. Our guide, Valentina, was terrific, everything you could hope for... knowledgeable, helpful, and personal. As Bernini fans, this was one stop that was unmissable and it it did not disappoint.

This was my second tour to the Borghese and I much preferred the first time. While the guide and staff were extremely helpful when one of our party took sick the day before. He helped us to get her water and a place to sit and other tour staff rescheduled us for the next day. However, the guide spent too much time repeating things over and over. He struggled with his English. And didn’t comprehend all questions asked. The pieces he did discuss, however, he seemed quite knowledgeable. He could discuss how critics have changed their understanding of different paintings .
