Tiring but interesting tour

There were four of us traveling together and we were looking forward to our tour of the Colosseum. We were not disappointed! Our guide was informative and shared much information with us. Two of us grew tired and had trouble with the steps so our guide showed us to the elevator. We very much appreciated her.

Our tour guide Amil was absolutely fantastic! She has a great sense of humor and made the amazing tour even more fun. We had booked a separate coach tour that included a tour of the exterior of the Colosseum but someone in our group mentioned that the INTERIOR was a must-see. This was so true. To see the place the games/fights/hunts/sea battles (yes, true!) happened was like being transported back two thousand years to the real deal. Highly highly recommend this tour.

Our guide was amazing and knowledgeable, great personality. I would absolutely recommend this tour. The only reason it wasn’t 5 stars is because we were trapped in a hail storm, cold and soaking wet by the end of the tour.

Definitely recommend booking this tour. Tour guide spoke very good English, was very chatty and knowledgeable and we learn lots about the history of the Colosseum that I didn’t know. Tour isn’t rushed, but you don’t get a massive amount of time to take pictures in between. They give you access into the Forums/Palatine Hill, but there is no tour of this area (just as an FYI). Smooth booking process and plenty of info. The tour also give you earphones so you can hear the guide clearly whilst walking around.

Great tour! In-depth tour of the Coliseum, and skip-the-line unguided access to Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. Our guide had lots of interesting facts, and getting to go through the gladiator gate and stand on the arena floor was very cool. The Romans were very fit people--be warned that this tour is a lot of walking and some very steep stairs. There were about 12 people in our group, so still a pretty small gathering. A word to the wise: your tickets will say clearly that they are just vouchers and not actual tickets, and you need to pick up your tickets. You don't actually have to do anything ahead of time; just show up at the appointed place at the appointed time, and you're fine!
