We toured the Coliseum and the Forum/Palatine Hill Our guide Valentina was very knowledgeable I am a frugal person and would usually avoid tours like this and just buy general admission but I when I went through these places I wanted to hear the details from somebody that knew what they were talking about. It was very interesting and I would highly recommend them.

The Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill are worth seeing, but the tour made it much more interesting. Valentina was amazing, very knowledgeable and handled our group competently and professionally. She was willing to answer questions and fill in anything we needed. She also made sure we had water stops on a hot day! We would really recommend her as our tour guide!

The tour guide was awful. She spent too much time moaning and complaining as we went round the forum. Answering personal calls and then had a 10 min arguement with another group in the queue for the colossium. Our guide had tried to push in and tbe whole thing nearly came to blows. To top this she then spent another dull 20 mins inside the security check area talking about the place where there was nothing to see before ending the tour. This tour was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Nice visuals but incorrect facts

The tour was very nice for seeing all the sights listed as included. Unfortunately much of what our tour guide told us about ancient Rome including information about religion, slaves, gladiators and Roman life was factually incorrect according to common accepted knowledge. Not sure if she was trying to make some of Rome's history sound "not so bad" or what, but she clearly was on a mission to promote a history of a "genteel Rome".

We were late arriving(10 mins) due to public transportation. So we missed the first half and we're told to meet at the group entrance to the Colosseum at 11:45 to be included in the 2nd half of the tour. We were there and waited till 12:30...they never showed or choose to not look for us. So we missed the tour.

Vague description of tour. Could not find the tour guide at meeting point. Booked 5 Tours with Viator, first four we highly recommend. This last tour for Colosseum was a disaster.We spent close to 1000 US dollars for our Rome tours with Viator. Operator was unwilling to promote good guest service. We hope Viator will step in and take initiative in giving us a refund. We will NOT RECOMMEND this Colosseum tour. To the operator: take a class in GUEST SERVICE, it will do wonders for your tour business.

Hi Ioannis, I am sorry to hear about your experience in trying to find the meeting point, the ground staff tried to reach out to you at 3:53 PM before your 4:00 PM Start time. Unfortunately, there was no response until 4:06 PM and the tour had to depart for its time entry. All other Viator clients booking this tour were able to find the meeting point using their voucher, if there was an issue with the voucher issued by Viator please consult with Viator customer service. I do hope your remaining time in Rome goes as planned!

Our tour guide didn't talk much about the existing remains of the Colosseum. Instead, she kept having us look at pictures in her binder of what the Colosseum used to look like. Wished we would have signed up for the tour that took us to the floor of Colosseum and back to where the gladiators were housed.

Good tour. Takes you through most of the main attractions in Rome. Big group and we were given radios and headsets. It we hard to hear your guide at times due to lots of people around and lots of noise. We had this tour in august and it was very hot but obviously out of tour operator control. Overall good tour.

Our guide, Sandra, was excellent. She was thorough, made sure everyone in the group had their questions answered, helped take photos for us, and even stayed back to give us a bit more in-depth dive into the history of Ancient Rome. She was funny, kind, and made the 3 hour tour fly by. Would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Rome!
