This was a great tour! We started with the first step of making gelato and then turned to our pizza dough. We were able to knead our dough and toss it into the air. After we were finished, we were able to sit down and enjoy our pizza and gelato in the restaurant. This was a great tour - our family and another family for a total of 8 people. We loved the small group atmosphere of the Viator tours that we took.

Can’t rate this Cookery Class highly enough

Was blown away by this Cookery Course from start to finish, particularly having done one with a different restaurant that wasn’t in the same league. The young lady that taught us was wonderful, friendly and professional and made such easy to whip up the tastiest Pizza 🍕 and Gelato 🍨 I met some lovely people at the Class too. Was offered cold water and juice too during the class too, which was very welcome due to an additional heat wave across Europe. We were served our meal in the main restaurant which was a lovely touch and were offered wine or a cold drink with our meal and even bruschetta to start. The Pizza tasted absolutely delicious, as was the Gelato and we were given both Chocolate and Vanilla Gelato with an ice cream wafer too. Such was so creamy and delicious. We could then choose between Coffee or Limoncello to finish. All the members of staff were polite and helpful and would highly recommend this amazing and informative class to anyone.

Mixed up our tour- ok overall

The place was SO SO Hot. They did not have the right tour that we booked/paid for. They only had set up for pizza not gelato. Had to show confirmation- then they scrambled to add gelato component last minute sending staff to store for supplies. Not sure if restaurant/tour screwed up or viator. Pizza instructor was good overall.

Fun for young kids, a bit chaotic

If I could do half stars, I would say this class was 3.5. The gelato making part is more of a demonstration than an actual class - if you're considering this vs the pizza-only class just do the pizza only class and grab a gelato from a gelateria on your way to your next destination. Overall, the experience felt rushed and a bit chaotic - the gelato/pizza sessions are stacked on top of each other so you have people from the next class coming in mid-way through your class to use the bathroom, to ask a question, etc. The pizza topping options are limited (four options total). The pizza making process was fun, especially for our 5 year old, and the class instructors were patient & kind with her.

It was so great to learn how to make pizza and gelato with Claudio. I booked the lesson to do something different with my 18 year old son, and we both enjoyed it! Claudio did an awesome job explaining the how to as well as the what not to do, and what to look for to make a successful pizza and gelato. I highly recommend!!

Unforgettable is a perfect name for this experience. Claudio, our chef-instructor was excellent, personable and engaging. Truly a highlight. Never thought gelato was this easy to make and we have already begun plans to have pizza parties back home. This experience was well, well worth the price. Do. NOT hesitate! My wife uses a wheelchair and the restaurant and bathroom were very accessible to us (Italian standards….). We loved our time and this is truly a highlight of our time in Rome

Fun experience, pizza was great. Chef was very good and friendly. Due to issues with the pizza oven, the class started late. Location of the preparation area was not good, there were staff walking through with dishes and supplies the whole time so it felt like we were in the way. Many interruptions.

The chef and experience were great. The location was difficult to find and the restaurant service at the end was slow. We waited for about 20-30 minutes for the gelato after we were told 5 minutes. Otherwise, an outstanding experience.

So glad we did this experience! It was one of my kids top experiences. Hassan was fantastic and did a great job leading the class, engaging everyone and even taking pictures. He is a master chef and our pizza turned out fantastic. I can’t wait to try it at home. Definitely recommend this one!

The class time was moved and the length of the class in the web site was different than what we heard the real class time was.when we tried to get more info to see if the new time would work in our existing schedule. Communication was not the greatest. Class was planned and had we known EARLIER that we may need to make a change we would have had time to review other classes. As we are on vacation watching Email regularly was not high on our list.

We were a family of five. One solo participant joined as well. Maria was our cooking chef, and she was friendly, engaging, and a great teacher. Our family began by helping make two batches of gelato (chocolate and vanilla). Our group made a big batch of each of these, and each participant helped with an aspect of the gelato-making as a group. We then individually made pizzas. From preparing the dough, to rolling the dough, spreading sauce and cheese, and choosing toppings. It was fun and memorable. After the pizzas are placed in the oven, we sat out back of a restaurant and were served our meal and ate at our leisure. The restaurant takes over once the cooking class is finished. You can order extra items from the restaurant for a fee, but the pizza, gelato, and drinks that were included were plenty for us. We loved the food and felt like it was our favorite pizza of our trip to Rome! I’d highly recommend this class with this provider.

If you have enough time, this is a must. It lasts for approximately 3 hours (including eating the pizza and ice-cream you made, having a glass of wine or juice, limoncello etc. and meeting your fellow trainees) and the location is a decent restaurant close to Piazza Navona. Our chef Maria was wonderful, funny and friendly, had a very good English, and gave clear and useful instructions, took photos (which she sent to us later together with recipes). I strongly recommend this class!
