I have to say we were a bit hesitant about this tour after witnessing the traffic in Rome, but this was an INCREDIBLE experience. John Marco was an excellent guide, filled with passion and so much insight into the history of Rome. We had a great time and totally recommend this tour and this guide to anyone!

Bad experience.

I had been injured earlier in the day. We went to the bike shop (really just a storage place) and waited hours for the employee to arrive. When he did, he made an assessment that my injury would preclude participating due to many stops on and off the bikes. I asked if there would be a refund since by his definition we couldn’t participate, and his answer was a nebulous and evasive response, even though he knew I couldn’t ride, and therefore my partner wouldn’t be able to ride either. He said “maybe there could be a 50% return, but he would have to discuss it further.” I think the only fair solution is to refund our pre payment. He still had 18 other riders coming, which I also questioned the safety for so many riders for a night ride in highly Rome.

Hello Larry, After discussing with the guides what had happened, and checking your reservation, we realised a couple of things: You never email nor notified viator about the situation so nobody in administration knew what had happened. The guides said that the decision of you not doing the tour was taken together (ergo, both parties). You were aware of your capacities on a bicycle and the guides considered your safety first. The rest of the customers did go on the tour in groups of 8 or 9 people because they were safe riding a bicycle, it wasn't against your person at all. We are very sorry it made you feel this upset, the guides didn't feel the exchange of words was taken offensive or disregarding to you or them.

Absolutely incredible!!! A thoroughly enjoyable experience and one that I will never forget ot stop recommending. Our guide, Irena, was brilliant. She gave clear cycling directions and descriptions at each stop - she also kindly made a couple of extra stops on the way at beautiful photo spots. The monuments and statues lit up at night were breathtaking, particularly when you covered so many in such quick succession. A superbly unforgettable night!

This is a great way of seeing the sights & beating the summer heat. Fabrizio was a great guide, very knowledgeable. The bikes were extremely easy to ride & we felt safe navigating the streets with Fabrizio. Would highly recommend.

A night out in town

We hit all the major tourist attractions in one night! If you wanted to return you could at a different time. At least you know what to expect and where to go - a general layout. Traffic, both cars and pedestrians, was a little scary however. If you are travelling alone its a good way to see the town at night

Well this was an amazing adventure for sure!! Fabrizio was an amazing guide! He took us along main roads, across bridges and thru back alleys! My favorite was seeing St Peter's Basilica lit up at night as we stood on the bridge and captured amazing pictures!! My bike had an issue with the brakes and he did a bike check a few blocks from our starting point, quickly returned with another bike for me! I would highly recommend this fun evening adventure!

Stefan was THE BEST tour guide. While it’s crazy at points with the bikes, we covered so much and at night. Such beautiful history. So very grateful for the time Stefan gave to each stop. If you are only looking to ride bikes but not learn about what you see, this is NOT for you. Younger kids can be tough in traffic.

This was the best of the 3 tours we did in our 5 days in Rome. As per another reviewer’s suggestion, we did this the first night to get an overview of the city and decide what we would like to return to to spend more time in our own. Our group was large so we were led by Federica in the front and Matteo in the back. Federica is very sweet and knowledgeable, and Matteo is a really funny guy! They were awesome tour guides! The bikes were super easy, though I have a small frame and could have used a smaller bike. We stopped at all of the sites briefly, were given lots of great info and history (but not overwhelming) and time for photos. Matteo took family and couples pictures for everyone, and even took my son to find a bathroom at the Trevi Fountain-no small feat. Going at night was gorgeous and perfect for the summer heat. Contrary to other reviews it felt completely safe. If you’ve never experienced Rome traffic and drivers before-you might feel a bit unsafe-but it’s fine and you’ll adjust 😊 I would definitely recommend this to any visitors, even if you’vé visited Rome before.

We had an amazing e-bike experience with Stefano touring the city of Rome during a beautiful evening. Stefano told us he was a fairly new tour guide however you can feel the passion he has in his city and its history. Rome has been pretty warm the last few weeks so taking an evening tour was a perfect time! Highly recommended

Twilight E-bike tour a definite winner

By doing the twilight tour it was a great way to see the city and the big attractions with slightly less crowds. Flavia our guide was brilliant, very knowledgeable and put us at ease about riding the E-bikes on the streets of Rome. I would definitely recommend this tour and say do it on your first night in Rome because it gives you a sense of where everything is and it was great fun.

We had the girl guide (I’m so sorry I forgot your name) and she was wonderful!!! Seriously what a fun way to explore the city! Each stop she would give us an explanation of the history + photographs too and would allow 5 + mins for wondering around and photos. It was an incredible experience, I wish it went for longer!

If you are able to ride a bike, and not afraid of riding very close to traffic and through crowded tourist areas, you’ll do well on this tour. Fitness level should be considered, and comfort on a bike saddle for 3 hours isn’t for everyone. (Pro-tip: coast and lift off the seat for bumps! LOL) Our tour guide (Stephano, I think his name was), was very well educated and informative. There was plenty of knowledge to go along with the sights. There were also many sights, from the exterior obviously, so you’ll visit the Colosseum and Parthenon, etc., but won’t go in. The tour is just a little over 3 hours, so eat before you go, and bring a backpack with some water. There is a small pouch on the bikes which will hold your phone, wallet, etc. but take it all out with each site you visit. Unfortunately, some of our bikes did not work correctly. Normally, I’d take away a star for this, but my family didn’t say anything until after the tour. So that’s on us! If you feel like your bike controls are not working (I.e. you aren’t getting power/speed) speak up right then. Don’t be shy and miserable… it’s a LONG ride! 8-10 miles!! Overall, if you want a quick visit to each of the sites for photos, and have other plans to go in, great. I don’t recommend taking another tour unless you’re just doing a tour to see inside. We mistakenly took an 8 hour tour the next day, and wound up WALKING to all the same sites! This e-bike tour would have been enough!
