I wasn't given earphones...
Beth_M, May 2023
I wasn't given earphones (others got them) and for the second 24 hours, they weren't running. Total waste of money
As usual good taste of highlights of Rome to start your city break
Szami_C, May 2023
reasonably priced, was a bit chaotic to get on the bus at busy Vaticano stop on Sat but then it was a smooth circle passing many of Rome's highlights. Audio guide quite brief but it is oretty much the standard on other hop-on hop-off city nus tours in other cities.
Missed Coliseum tour…
Cathie_m, May 2023
Hop on/off was fine. We had a tour of Coliseum confirmed for 3pm. We were there an hour prior to tour. We were told 3x we were at wrong location to meet tour - running back and forth. Missed the tour in the end. Disappointing….
Absolutely horrible
Juanita_P, May 2023
Absolutely horrible experience in Rome. Hard to find stops. Staff not friendly unless buying ticket from them. Don’t buy
Pros: being able to...
Donna_C, May 2023
Pros: being able to chose between three routes was great. Headphones worked properly and all staff were professional. Busses were clean.
Cons: none.
Bummer, they won’t re book you if you can’t find guide
Anne_M, May 2023
We couldn’t find the group. Company called at 6:12 and we still couldn’t find the group. I called the next morning and they would not re book us on another tour. It was crazy crowded at the Vatican. Good luck finding your guide!
Bad Headphones
Daphne_R, May 2023
The headphones weren’t the best and you really only get to take in a bit. I would recommend instead a tour of the actual locations that you view.
Roma!
Brenda_C, May 2023
Always love doing Hop-On Hop-Off when we first arrive in new location, great way to familiarize yourself with the area and see the sites.
Wish Come True
edmund_c, May 2023
The most memorable was the Trevi Fountain. We tossed the coin and made a wish to return to Rome. We saw everything on the Hop On Hop Off Bus that we wanted to see Best money spent to enjoy so much.
Phone portable charger required 10000 mAh
Engrid_W, May 2023
There is so much rich history in Rome, Italy, that you want to take pictures of every building you see! I was so glad I had my phone charger, so it between historical buildings and walking my phone was charging to be able to take multiple pictures!
Convenient way to see the sights of Rome
Vaishnavi_B, May 2023
Would recommend this activity, especially if you have already had a long travel and want to get an idea of how far away the main attractions are from each other. One tip: once you have heard the descriptions of each sight, explore them all on foot- they are all walkable! The streets have the most beautiful building/people/cathedrals/food, and we would recommend walking into many of the smaller not so 'popular' churches where the interiors are always breathtaking! Another pro tip is to book any tour of the Vatican early AM (they all get sold out fast). Ciao!
Worth the money
Ann_C, May 2023
Helpful tour, took the red and yellow bus the same day with one ticket and slightly different stops.
Great ride good value
Wendy_R, May 2023
Great commentary, saw all of the main sites on the bus except the Vatican. A great way to get around Rome.
Wish we booked elsewhere
Kellie_O, May 2023
Incredibly hard to find bus stops with no one there to ask for help. The headphone jacks didnt work so couldnt get audio. The wifi was broken also. Bus was in poor shape, wish we went with a different company as those buses looked significantly nicer.
Would do the HOHO bus again!
tiffany_s, May 2023
This was one of the best experiences we booked because you could ride around and see Rome and then hop off wherever you would like. You just hop back on a bus when you are finished. It saves your feet from walking everywhere.
See it all and more
Michelle_L, May 2023
Hop Off Hop On Bus Tour was great way to get a lay of the land and easily move through the city. Although finding the bus stops was a bit of a challenge.
Lost the whole amount
Narugopal_P, May 2023
I Couldn’t find the tour operator’s location. I talked with the tour operator - it appears he didn’t hear the name of Viator. The line got disconnected and I lost the whole amount. Also wrote to the Viator re this experience - haven’t got any response yet.
Highly recommend!
Jeannie_R, May 2023
A great way to see Rome for the first time! Fun to listen to the commentary and find out more history of this beautiful city! Our driver and guide were great! A good way to see Rome after a 10 hour plane flight.

This hop on hop off bus...
Kirandip_S, Apr 2023
This hop on hop off bus is so worth your money. It stops at the 3 very important stops. Coliseum, Vatican City and Trevi fountain. They also sell the skip the line tickets for Coliseum and Vatican City in the bus. Very convenient.
