Your tour meets at the Fat Tire Tours office, located at Via dei Delfini 35/36, 00186 Rome. We are located about 150 meters from Piazza Venezia (a 5 minute walk) and 1.5 km from the Colosseum (approximately a 15 minute walk). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure.

What To Expect

Your nighttime Segway tour starts in central Rome, where you meet your guide for a safety briefing and training session. With the ability to cover more ground than a walking tour but still allowing you to be outside to admire Rome’s many sights, a Segway tour is the ideal way to explore a city with so many must-see attractions.

When everyone is ready, take off through Rome’s elegant squares and streets with your guide, who tells you stories and interesting facts about the city throughout the tour. Stop by Piazza Navona, one of Rome’s liveliest squares, and see the Temple of Hadrian and the ancient Pantheon.

Continue to the Spanish Steps, bustling with evening activity as locals and tourists make their way to dinner or drinks, and visit the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), one of the city’s most photographed attractions. Your tour then ends with return to your starting point.

I was a little concerned at first because I’m a bit clumsy and have never been on a Segway before but Alessandro was a great instructor. Once you get the hang of it, which doesn’t take long at all, it was very fun. Loved sightseeing this way and at night it was much less crowded out.

Had a fantastic tour by night. One gets to see many of the famous landmarks of Rome in a different setting as compared to by day time. Our guide, Arvin, was brilliant! He really was the cherry-on-the-top for this tour! We also did their Segway tour by day 6 years ago, which was a big selling point for us because due to the great experience we had at that time as well. Highly recommend this company for their Segway tours!

A really fun and exciting way to experience Rome. My wife and I went during the low season so it was just us and the guide. He was patient as we learned to ride the Segway and safety was his number one priority so we never were worried about hitting people or being hit. The sights were fun and the gelato stop was a great surprise. Our guide was well informed and was easily able to answer all of our questions.

Well organised. Guide was good. Only downmark is that S2 tyres are not really sutable to cobblestones, a little rougher than desisable. But overall a great tour.

Grazie Peter! It is our first complaint about the bumpy-ness- I will make sure to check the tyre pressure so the ride is as smooth as possible. But yes, unfortunately the eternal city takes an eternity to replace broken cobblestones!
