  • The Segway tours are in English by default. If you want to book a tour in another language let the supplier know in advance.
  • It is recommended to weigh between 100 and 253 pounds (45 to 115 kilos). All guests should be at least 14 years old and should not be over 70 years old. All guests should be at least 4.5 feet (135 cm) tall. Please note that our staff will have the right to decline accepting your child without any obligation to refund you for her/his ticket.
  • Be aware that we do not enter monuments or sights due to time restrictions, waiting lines, closing days and entrance tickets. Our tours do take you to all the sights, but there are so many that we can only give you an overview.
  • Near public transportation
  • A release of liability form must be signed at the start of the tour
  • Participants should dress according to the weather conditions
  • Comfortable walking shoes are recommended
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult

Fantastic Segway tour with Chris

Chris was a fantastic guide, bringing us to all the sites around Rome on our segways.. He made sure that we were all comfortable riding our Segways before proceeding.. We highly recommend a segway tour for Rome as we are able to see basically all the sites within a single day. The highlight of the tour was going up Palatine hill on our Segways as we passed everyone walking slowly up the steep slope to get to the top. There, we were told by Chris about a secret rooftop where we were treated to a full view of all the hills in Rome.. The lunch that was included by our tour was delicious as well, with one of the best pizzas we have ever tasted in our lives... All in all, a very good day that we would love to do again..

The Full Day Segway tour was the highlight of our stay in Rome. It was such a fun way to see the city and the guides were extremely nice and knowledgeable. I dont imagine there is a better way to see more of the sites in a single day. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Rome in a fun yet thorough way!

We did the all day 9hour tour with lunch and it was never tiring and the lunch was delicious and the restaurant owner was so friendly Wonderful, knowledgeable guide who made our day spectacular This was not boring it was full of interesting facts and great conversation and intellect We say more on this tour than we ever expected and so glad we did it our first full day
Best way to see main Rome sites in a day

There is no better way to see the main Ancient Rome history sites than on a Segway. It would be impossible to cover this much ground on foot in a day not knowing where you're going and even if you did it would be walking miles and tireless miles to see what you can see on a Segway in a far more enjoyable, far more easy and practicle way, especially in summer when it's blistering hot.

By far the best way to see Rome in literally a day! First time on a Segway and managed great even through the crowds! Chris our guide was very fun and informative! Great pace and never got tired or hot from walking to each landmark! Covered a lot of ground which we would not have been able to walking.

We are so thankful we chose this tour. We got to see way more than we would have gotten to see if we did a tour on foot and we still had energy at the end of the day to walk around and enjoy Rome. Our guide, Quentin, was extremely knowledgable and patient and tailored our tour specifically for us and the amount of sight seeing we were capable of doing. The Segway takes 10 minutes of getting used to and then it's easy, even despite the cobblestone roads and traffic in Rome. The Segways are also very high quality which does make a difference. I truly feel like we got two days worth of sight seeing and tours in one day during the tour. If you have only a short time in Rome, I would highly highly recommend this tour.

What a fantastic tour and a great company to deal with. Cannot recommend this company enough!! They were so friendly and fun to be with on our Segway tour of Rome. Our guide Quintin was so knowledgeable, fun and friendly. I had taken another Segway tour in Rome last year but this is the best one by far!! I would highly recommend you book with them! They took great care of us and pointed out all of the interesting sites. Went with my son and he asked if we could go again now that my daughters have arrived. We may take them for another Segway tour when we return in two weeks. Look no further. You will have a fantastic time!

We booked a full day Segway tour which was the most fun thing we did in Rome. There is no way we could have hit all the Rome highlights by bus or on foot. Quentin was our guide. We were able to learn how to drive our Segways fairly quickly. He was very skilled at maneuvering all the picturesque side streets, crowds around the Colosseum, and traffic. It was a great way to get around. In the morning it was just the 4 of us with 2 others joining us in the afternoon. It was such a perfect size and we got alot of individualized attention. The lunch was delicious and restaurant staff very friendly. After our tour Quentin sat down with us and gave us restaurant and attraction recommendations which we appreciated.

This was our favorite tour of Rome. Rex Tours is the best! Max, the owner, took great care of us. His lunch location has pizza that is out of this world. Arturo, our guide, grew up in Rome and was extremely knowledgeable of the history and sites. He made our day such a fun time. We can't say enough good things about him. We booked this our first full day as a get-to-know-the-area tour. It's much better than the hop-on-hop-off bus tour, because you cover a lot more area and a shorter amount of time. You can see so much more interesting things on segways. Don't be scared to try segways. They are simple and safe.
