Scam tour

This is scam!! The Secret of Rome Tour is a scam. Please don’t buy anything from this people. I bought it the day before, I received the confirmation communication. I was at the meeting place before the hour and waited there more than 30 minutes. I wrote to Viator by chat and nobody responded. That was completely disappointing!

Very poor client service from Viator.

The guide never showed up, nor did he contact us regarding his delay. We contacted Viator 3 times over the course of an hour to see where he was. We were told that he was on a bus that hit a motorcycle and so he would be delayed but at no point did the guide nor Viator reach out to us without us contacting the, After an hour, on our third call to Viator, we were told that he was not coming. Viator should have reached out to us as soon as they know he was in an accident. Furthermore, we had to present them with options for another tour or refund. Viator should have offered us more than our money back after making us wait over an hour. If the guide really was in an accident we feel badly for him or her but Viator should have let us know before an hour plus passed. Very poor client service.

Interesting tour

I had “Secrets of Rome Tour” in November 2022. The tour was interesting, I learnt about places less covered by other tours, the guide Pedro, was knowledgeable, and generally I appreciated the tour. The “secrets” part was a little bit disappointing to me but maybe I had too high expectations.

Tons of history

Pedro was a great guide who had really studied Roman culture and could share it in detail. We had a small group of 5 people so it was nearly a private tour. We all took a great deal of knowledge away from this tour. Make sure to bring very comfortable and sturdy walking shoes.
